Local Government Pension Scheme...

Just started a new job in a school as an Academic Mentor (government funded posh way of saying Teaching assistant).

I have been automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). No issues with this and whilst I've been able to find what I will contribute, I can't find what my employer will contribute.

To anyone in the scheme, can I get a figure or estimation please?

Ps in my previous role I was enrolled in the Nest Pensions government scheme

Ps in my previous role I was enrolled in the Nest Pensions government scheme

Im a grade 5 in admin in local government and they contribute 17.5% to mine. If you email the HR department they'll confirm the exact amount for you

Check with HR or Pensions team, as a rule LGPS was a high employer contribution, in the region of 3-4 times your own.
