I don’t know where you live but where I’m from well behaved dogs are always off leads. Mine never goes on the lead not even to go to the local shop. We don’t have dog parks either. Dog obviously aren’t allowed in play parks and on some areas of the beach in summer.
Where I live in the UK is unimportant. Unfortunately bad dog owners are in most towns and cities. It is these owners that don’t seem to care that their animal is running around causing problems. Even a friendly dog running over to a nervous dog (in a CLEARLY marked hi vis collar and leash with the word NERVOUS on it) can cause stress to the animal.

It is the duty of the owner with the dog off leash to be aware of what it is doing at all times and be able to recall their animal. If your able to recall without an issue then great it means you have your dog under control. A lot of people seem unable to do this. This is my issue.

Socialisation is very important for dogs but no dog owner should have to deal with the stupidity and selfishness of some dog owners. Sorry but no dog is perfect 100% of the time no matter what their owners would like to believe.

Yes!!!! THIS right here...this is my thread.

Where to start. (most, if not all will be about my bf)

When he goes for a shower or bath he never puts his toiletries back in the cabinet..... We have lived together for 7 years and I still nag him but it never changes
When he goes for the shower there is always a MASSIVE puddle next to the bath. I've no idea how he does this and I end up mopping it up cos he will just leave it there
not flushing the toilet
unlocking the patio doors in the morning to go out and smoke and not locking them again before heading off to work
dropping food, sees that he's dropped it and doesn't pick it up!!!!
putting things in the wrong bin for recycling
NEVER taking the bin out, even if its overflowing, he would rather put more energy into balancing something on top rather than bloody take it out

opens the washing machine and adds a random item of clothing to it........so much so he's socks and an odd t-shirt have ended up in a boil wash with the towels resulting in them being 10 times too small, just this morning he stood and watched me unload the machine (whilst he was sipping his coffee) and hang up a dark wash THEN.....THEN he watched me load in towels and he came downstairs and I caught him out the corner of my eye closing the door to the machine, I asked what he had put in and it was a pair of boxers!!!!!!!WWHHHYYYYY, I asked him 3 times to take them out before I done it myself and ran back up stairs with them to the basket only for him to go in a mood n say he was going to do it in a sec...no hun, in a sec your heading out he door to work and then it will me my fault they get boil washed with the towels!!

OMG I could honestly go on for days and days I swear......

PS, I do actually love him though

Off leads no I don’t, there are beaches that allow dogs and that’s fine, but I don’t think any dog should be allowed off a lead unless it’s in a dog park.
I’ve had dogs all my life, we have leads that extend but I would never let my dog off a lead in public. It’s not fair on other dogs or other people or children around, not everyone likes dogs, not ever owner checks where their dog has tit. 😐
So no, I don’t agree with dogs being off leads.
Love dogs, but I agree with this hugely. I was bitten as a kid by a “friendly dog”. Keep your damn dog on a lead.

I am irritated by people who do not clean up after themselves at food places i.e. KFC/McDonald's they just leave their rubbish 😡

People who say PACIFIC when they mean SPECIFIC. It drives me mad.

Quite frankly, almost everything my kids do. Much as I love them.

Oh yes I’ve heard that a few times too. And “axe” instead of ask.

Maybe I should just go on in with “people who pronounce common words incorrectly”.
Whenever people say “axe” instead of “ask” it always makes me think of Catherine Tate’s Lauren Cooper character, because I’m pretty sure she used to say axe instead of ask.

When people say “brought” instead of bought. E.g look at this dress I just brought from Topshop

And when people say “generally” instead of genuinely. They used to always say this in TOWIE!! Grrrrrrrr

People that bug the life out of you asking what you want for Christmas in September only to tell you a week and a half later that they’ve bought you and your partner a giftcard for Next to share 🙄
