Lip fillers, Botox, fillers!!! Am I insane? Have you had some?

I have Botox and love it. I had a terrible frown line in the middle of my brow which was more prominent in the summer. It makes my forehead so smooth, I love it!! Make sure you do your research and use a practitioner with a medical qualification ie a nurse prescriber, dentist or doctor. There are so many people out there doing a course and then just injecting peoples faces which makes me squirm!

I’m definitely on the fence about lip fillers and general fillers / kylie package for instance.
Absolutely Lauren goodger or whatever her name is is a huge eye opener.

I’m not looking for Kylie lips just to even out if you know what I mean 😂

Yeh completely 😂, I’d say go meet reputable clinician and have a consultation first. Any good clinician will allow you time to discuss and show you examples of people with similar goals and finished look!

I’m 39 and had Botox for the first time 4 months ago. I would have it again as I did feel better with it but I would avoid fillers. It’s a slippery slope though, don’t end up hating everything about yourself and going too far. Sometimes you have to accept things as they are. (Clearly I’m not ready to accept my wrinkles but I’m not prepared to change the shape of my face for example)

I had mine done over 10 years ago, thin top lip as well, and I‘m really happy I did it. I had one top up 6 months later and ever since my lip has never gone back to really thin again because the filler stimulated my own collagen and now I have just nicely balanced natural lip. I had Juvederm injection done by an experienced doctor, a small amount as I never wanted significantly bigger lips. The procedure was done under full dental block (injections into gums like at the dentist’s) so didn’t feel a thing. You can have anaesthetic cream applied for about 40 minutes prior but it can make your lips swell a bit so doctor can’t judge the result as well straight away. Botox hurts much less (different place of injection, smaller needle etc) and apart from wrinkles it can also help with certain types of headaches, as well as to reduce excessive sweating when injected in palms or armpits. I’d say one thing to avoid at all costs are Botox and filler parties, these are medical procedures no different to any other injection so you need to have an individual consultation including consent, where the doctor tells you in detail what to expect, side effects and asess your needs carefully.

I went to a clinic, did my research first. Was done by a max fax surgeon who worked there as a part time job. They are the best as they specialise in anatomy of face, neck etc. Worth paying extra. Had a very deep wrinkle between eyebrows, they put in filler which was 5 years ago and have gotten 3 botox inj since to freeze the area and stop the frowning. It is back but looks less severe and more age appropriate.

Definitely! If you get cheap botox, they are simply either watering down the product with something or they are using tit products
