I found the AI one painful. Miquita asking if AI existed before their pod started and she didn't understand that services like google are AI these days.

They need a break or a guest. Should of had an expert on AI who could give knowledge and talking points.

Oh no, thanks for the heads up! I’m finding myself drifting on the latest few pods, even watching them, Lily barely has anything to say, she just leaves Miquita to waffle more than usual at the moment with a dead stare on her face, or a yawn. Need some goss or just a story or something!

In a huge fan and have always glossed over Miquita and her nonsense but she’s got worse and I’m finding it less and less appealing- dare I say they may have run their course! I’m here for the gossip not their (rather tit) take on AI especially as there is barely any research done for any of the topics they cover - it’s lazy!

Yep. They think the people anre interested in everything they have to say when, really, we only want to hear Lily ag off celebs or spill some tea. That and take the piss out of dense Miquita. We don’t give a tit about their opinions on London travel and AI!

I think after a while most people just get bored of their favorite podcast. I’m not there yet with miss me but I’d say it’s coming. There’s only so much anyone has to say and I personally have no interest in interviews with guests so it runs out of road.

Reminds me of when holly and phil used to pretend to still be pissed on this morning sofa after awards ceremonies the night before. So ridiculously childish. She just sounds more and more stupid as the podcast progresses and lily sounded like she just cba in the last few. It was sweet the little reveal about the terrace garden miquita made for lily, that sort of stuff is more interesting than the weird tube and ai stuff.
Also interesting that they did actually have polarised opinions regarding the met gala.
In my opinion none of the white peoples I saw there really hit the spot at all with the brief and it was a massive fancy dress party flop for them. The black people on the whole looked sharp and fly and so much more in the zone.

If it was a commercial podcast they would be making decent money as these days a 30 min podcast can have 4-5 mins of ads that are hard to skip.

But this is the BBC or the commercial arm of the BBC so I've no idea.

I'd be fascinated to hear how that all works, if anyone knows? Do people in the UK get ads on BBC podcasts? I only get 1 or 2 short ads.

No ads in the uk apart from for other bbc podcasts

I listen on BBC Sounds so no ads. I would assume there would be on other streaming platforms tho. I don’t know if having it on YT might get some ad revenue as well. I run an adblocker there.

I reckon Lily has to be careful what she says on the pod a) because the mail picks up and misconstrues things and b) she's presumably in the middle of divorce proceedings.

so as she's so guarded (and bored of Miquitas waffle) she's basically switched off. When she does share things it's 100pc more insightful than Miquita - who, I think, depends on the podcast much more for income/exposure.
