Caught up on recent podcasts yesterday, can’t believe how dippy miquita sounds, like the koolaid stuff, she kept on going on about it like it was a brand new concept just brought up in a parody film, she had zero knowledge of what it is alluding too, lily was definitely giggling at miquita’s ignorance.
She sounds like a tedious gap year student on coke who thinks she has seen and done it all but is actually incredibly cloistered.
So many of her recent anecdotes involve her mum, I wonder if miquita has some sort of vulnerability where she has become infantilised because she needs a lot of looking after / supervision?

Possibly. Lily has pretty much given away where her new home is by talking about it being a high rise around where she grew up that she wanted to live in since she was little - unless she was misdirecting. I can only think of one building that fits it.
I came on here to say this. For reasons I simply don’t understand I have a lot of sympathy for Miquita, and think she’s been infantilised by her family at the same time as somewhat emotionally neglected by her mum which produces the person we see today. It’s a complex mix.
Whilst I did wince at the “summer plans” bit, I also feel for her - she’s caring for a frail elderly relative and it’s well known that sometimes people that old don’t recover from falls and die. I don’t doubt for one minute Miquita isn’t aware of that and is probably quite scared and worried.
I know she’s 40, but that’s a big responsibility for anyone and I can’t help but think that Andi should be sharing that load.
Yeah I think it’s pretty obvious where she lives to anyone that knows the area , surprised she would do that with her past issues with stalkers
I agree she was brought up by a bohemian mother who put her second, but also created a sort of codependency. Miquita is clearly a naturally curious and intelligent person but has been hampered by her lack of education, not just formal school but basic common sense things like managing finances, pension and life. She has a chip on her shoulder about it all and is constantly chasing her own tail.
She is 41, only just learning to drive, has lost her home for some reason, can’t quite seem to get her “broadcasting” career off the ground again, staring some fitness business and seems to live in a cycle of catching up and unfulfilled potential. Her emotions are so near the surface as well, it does all make me feel a bit sorry for her. I hope she can find stability in at least one part of her life.
Miquita seems to be attached to people who don't respect her at all - Andi and Lily. I'm always amazed she is 41 - not because of her looks tbh but her attitude.
She'd probably do well travelling for a bit or living abroad. Getting out of her beloved London comfort blanket on her own or with different people.
Latest pod Miquita saying British black actors need to go to the US to get real success, I mean that’s pretty much any actor imo.

Oh no, thanks for the heads up! I’m finding myself drifting on the latest few pods, even watching them, Lily barely has anything to say, she just leaves Miquita to waffle more than usual at the moment with a dead stare on her face, or a yawn. Need some goss or just a story or something!

I found the AI one painful. Miquita asking if AI existed before their pod started and she didn't understand that services like google are AI these days.

I don't think they need guests or experts, it's not meant to be a serious podcast is it it is just them waffling on.
