I think the au natural brows look far nicer than the nineties / early noughties approach to eyebrow maintenance, which largely involved tweezering off one’s eyebrows then just putting a thick black line over the top. I’ve had colleagues since then pay a fortune on tattooing because they tweezered too much.
Contouring is my contribution. No matter how much money you spend and how much time you practice, you will look like a contestant on Drag Race, overly botoxed (even if you never had any) AND at least 10 years older than your birth certificate suggests. Highlight your features, don’t blur them out!

Agree with too much contouring
Poorly applying a dark eyeshadow colour in place of eyeliner. This looks good if you do it right but if done wrong, it looks awful and can look like a black eye or dark circles
When someone has sucked in their cheeks and applied blusher/bronzer/contour into the hollow. It looks so unnatural

Or worse when they use it to “carve” eyebrows

The standard plouise look is a no from me
Thé highlighter on the end of the nose thing, ok if it’s subtle and blends into the rest of a nose highlight but that big blob that some people seem to do is just awful.
Those matte liquid lipsticks for me. Why would you want your lips to look dry and crusty??
