The 'be kind' crowd have sprung to life on the dark side with Ferrari in their crosshairs, presume his latest ratings must have triggered them. He was interviewing some Labour lackey and was, heaven forfend, asking for a question to be asked

'Absolutely vile', 'rude and aggressive' and the 'bloated Tory is such a prat' were the comments

Yet when 'O'Gammon is pulling apart some hapless caller who shares a different view, it's 'oh he's got one' 'that was delicious' with an inevitable link to the global player and a time so they can all enjoy again

They really don't see how thick and hypocritical they are

Nick was just seeking a yes or no response not a whole load of skating around what was simply yet assertively asked. Of course Murray couldn't do this without putting a giant foot in it and opening himself and the Labour Gov up to even more scrutiny and controversy.

Nick goes for the jugular...respectfully yet ruthlessly. He demands answers and rightly so.

Jobby is a bully who enjoys humiliating people who are intimidated by him or who dare to disagree with him. You can here the hackles go up on him as he readies to go in for the kill, smirking contentedly.

I opted for some aversion therapy with Oli this morning and managed to tolerate 30 mins of his take on "reparations" ie I'll take the Jobby passive aggressive approach and mock callers who disagree with my compassionate point of view. Someone called him a performative activist. Spot on.

At least he strongly supports the police officer who shot Kava. I didn't hear Jobby on this topic but I gather from comments that he was a bit lukewarm
Dugmore is pleased with his RAJAR figures. They rose to 300,000, which I suppose isn't bad for the time of day. If his callers are typical, his audience consists mainly of middle-aged male pub bores.

Nick Ferrari is a news hound so his show gets refreshed. There are times when the news is slower but there is usually something going on and to add to it he gets the big interviews.

Jobby is a know-all ( at least in his own mind). The problem is that he is getting more and more things wrong. His client journalism towards Labour and Starmer is about to have a rough week as the Budget looks as though it will be awful. Or if you prefer more of the sort of thing that got Vorders to run for the hills.

He does have a group that listen to him but he is trapped by it as typically they are the sort of person who post on the dark side.He has to appeal to them because he has insulted and in the case of X blocked everyone else. The trouble is that by appealing to his core followers he alienates the ordinary person which is why all the current affairs programmes ignore him.

I thought he was going to stand up for poor misunderstood Chris Kava and couldn't bear to listen to that so switched off.
I wonder how many listeners manage the entire 3 hours with Oli? Maybe people just tune the radio in and then go back to sleep? He's certainly a mine of information on his favourite topics but I find him cold and arrogant.

300,000 is probably the total of every listener who've ever tuned in even once

Someone (Easton ?) used to produce graphs showing how many people were actually listening at any one time. Breakfast was most popular then peaking at 100,000. Steve used to start at 50k and go up to 80k by the time he finished

Methinks Mr Dugmore is playing fast and loose with the truth !

I'd say people tune in, find out it's Oli presenting and then either switch off or listen to another station. Manipulating the truth to make this His Truth in true woke style. #BeKindTo Oli.

Click on. Reparations for Slavery. Click off. I can't seem to escape that topic, it's everywhere. Beats me why people so concerned about slavery don't focus their efforts on modern-day slavery that's going on RIGHT NOW! Ridiculous people.

It's all about money as usual. No money from current day stuff whereas "I'm suffering from the loss of my true surname as a result of what went on in the past and I want compensation for my loss".

This woman is truly ghastly, patronising and making money from portraying herself as the champion of the "oppressed black community" which doesn't exist now according to Kemi B. Sky bring her out from time to time to debate with an eccentric white historian-Rafe?-and she spends the whole time preening and talking over him aggressively and patronisingly.

Instant switch off now with me.

I bet if the govt. said, okay we're going to give everyone 150quid because of slavery people would still moan and say it's an insult! I want 500quid! I mean, it's impossible to sort out in a practical sense. It's all just fuel for media whores and broadcasters desperate for content. I won't bring it up again, it's not really for this thread is it. :cautious:
