Embarassing of Stellar magazine to nominate those 2 idiots for a podcast award when they’ve made about 4 episodes. You know the awards aren’t worth tit now they’ve done that

Absolutely. Inflates their egos even more as if they need any more help. Pathetic of every publication giving these grifters air time. Who are they trying to appeal to because general working people are sick to the back teeth of them.

I think they are all in each others pockets.
Stellar. The Gossies. BPerfect. GoLoud. RTE. The agency that they are with.

Unrelated but I’m actually devastated Stellar magazine stopped printing. It was my little treat for hair appointments.

I always found Stellar to be a cut above the rest of teen/young adult rags I used to casually pick up, and they broached new and subversive ground that similar magazines simply weren’t covering. Obviously as the years went on I stopped picking issues up and I don’t check in on their online outfit as it seems to be dealing in tawdry gossip for the purpose of clicks, but I’m a touch disheartened that a publication that once seemed so disruptive is pandering to something it seems like it once would have spurned.

Everything I’ve seen from UTI is bizarrely reductive, reinforcing strange stereotypes (this week’s episode is a girls vs. guys endeavour which says it all!). There are a number of genuinely fantastic Irish podcasts out here with a lot of love and care poured into them (I used to love The Two Norries as it was insightful while also working hard to dismantle a number of stigmas in Irish society about mental health and addiction), so why is a hastily tossed together, poorly thought through venture with a mere FOUR EPISODES being nominated? It’s actually disrespectful. What a farce.

On one of their TikToks they showed a preview of the latest episode where they reference girl dinner, and it’s so funny to see it being casually glossed over and really shows the level of thought put into this (none at all) because there are a lot of YouTubers and other podcasters who have discussed the trend and what it means on a broader level. You’d lose brain cells listening to UTI I’d say.

Because it’s getting views on socials. No brand or publication cares about integrity or substance anymore just whatever drives traffic to your product. It’s baseless though and will eventually run its course. I make a concerted effort to stay away from people flogging anything, doing #AD #gifted #brandembassador every hour of the day. It’s like having people from Dunnes or river island call to your house multiple times a day asking if you wanna buy tit. You wouldn’t be long not answering the door!

The fit checks are so annoying, it's like she's still in the post-breakup glowup era even though they both seem to be as self absorbed as each other 🫣 What makes it worse is the blatant mean girl vibes

The fake tan too ☠ She genuinely has the same skin colour as an Oompa Loompa

I literally saw three videos she made on the same day on TikTok basically taking about good she looks, sorry but she's an average looking girl and seems pretty common IMO 🥱😭 In all seriousness what does she do apart from jumping on the podcast bandwagon like every single Irish influencer??

You can tell how self absorbed and egotistical she is with the body checking and eye bleeping herself she does EVERY. SINGLE. VIDEO. She’s actually such a bore nothing she says or does is interesting anymore

Miriam being “obsessed” with Chappell is hilarious. Will never forget her doing clickbait YouTube videos with questions about her sexuality on the thumbnail, and saying she’s bi then walking it back a few months later in another clickbait video.

Miriam said she was bi? I don’t remember this at all!! When was this? And did she change the narrative then?

Apologies, checked a transcript to confirm and quick correction on my part - she said she was pansexual in Addressing Your Rumours back in 2018.

Then she started posting videos with egregious titles like ‘answering all your juicy boy questions’ or w/e and never mentioned it again.

Hahahaha I remember seeing that at the time and thinking ‘there’s no way this girl is any way fluid.’ There’s nothing wrong with being straight Miriam 😂

Bit of Sinophobia from Whelan with her “Chinese whispers” comment on the goss.ie interview. I’m sure we all said that as kids out in the schoolyard because we didn’t know better, but as times move on things change and I’m surprised to see not only her say that, but have goss.ie publish that.

To be fair I’ve never heard of that either

She actually comes across so rude. I have a RBF so I know what it’s like for people to judge but in the video of her in the hairdressers she just seems so unfriendly. And the way she says “yeah” to the hairdresser when she asks where to put the extension was so rude.

Imagine being that obsessed with yourself that you make a video rating outfits you have worn recently to festivals 😵 Yes there can be individuality in festival outfits but I don't think people genuinely care that much?

She would’ve spunked a few hundred euro getting those blonde extensions put in just for EP…
