Today is Kylie Day; Friday. We get to hear part 2 of her monologue into the camera about how she and Guido found love; or, at least, a business opportunity.
Let’s face it, Kylie doesn’t do this for us, it’s for those who fawn over her fantasy and misrepresentation. We don’t even get to comment, so as not to break the spell she weaves. We’re relegated to the quiet room where she can censor any untoward expressions and attitudes and she is free to hold the spotlight solely on herself.
Well, I’ve been in lockdown for a year and a half in Italy, with my new partner I met online and we’ve been together 24/7/365 through this time, during the pandemic and just prior when we met in person.
I get to experience Italy every day, for better and for worse and there is a lot of worse living here ! The best is being together, having found love.
Kylie is a sideshow who cynically exploits dreams, but also entertainment for those who can see what comedy she unwittingly unleashes.
Reality remains the best revelation of wonder and joy; but it takes some integrity and determination to discover and to experience.
Enjoy the show !
