Recap:

Sian and Callum have just been to WDW for the first time in two years. They were going to leave her children behind and go to their children’s favourite place without them but 72hrs before they left they finally realised there would be questions asked and they might lose followers. Previously they had been isolating the kids in their Christmas holiday so they could go to WDW without them. Having changed their minds they took the kids out of the first two weeks of school at zero notice and are certain that their headteacher will be understanding.

Whilst at WDW Sian posted stories at an alarmingly regular basis for somebody with their children and for somebody who has criticised others for filming too much and not enjoying the magic. At one point Sian and Callum posted 27 stories about a breakfast buffet. Sian also posted stories laughing at her own child. They had a $200 per day food and drink budget that was regularly exceeded. Callum did the Dopey challenge, Sian didn’t really care about the running because it wasn’t about her. Sian had been planning to run but stopped training in November and then got an excuse that she couldn’t run as she was looking after the children they had resentfully brought along with them.

Sian only stopped posting every five minutes and really enjoyed herself when she meet with internet strangers who gave her validation. These strangers became, without exception, her BFFs after a single meeting. Meanwhile her Disney BFF from September’s cruise was languishing in isolation at WDW, something Sian did not even publicly acknowledge.

Sian continues to post about the sacrifices they make at home to go on holidays. This despite her sacrifices appearing to be minimal (cutting down on meals out and takeaway coffees) and the trip to WDW being her 7th expensive holiday in seven months. They are now preparing for their next really expensive term-time trip to WDW in three weeks.

This is brilliant.

Great recap @cheeseybites 👍

In other news, if she shares anymore stories of randomers watching her vlog, I’m going to scream. Sian, that’s only interesting for you. 30 stories about people watching your vlog is potentially the DULLEST content ever. Hopefully she’s losing followers.

The London marathon is £50 for running through central london on closed roads with a reasonable start time. £450 for running around Disney backlots at 5am is insane.

I didn’t realise that doing something once made you an expert. Thank goodness Sian backed out or we’d never have heard the end of it. It’s still kind of embarrassing for her that she’s not mentioned pulling out in any official way.
they’ve owned dvc for 3 years and have one home resort and haven’t used it for the last 2 years, but are experts.
They never went to DLP before the pandemic, but are now experts,

Why would these things be any different?

This is why I like the Mr David and Mr Ian.... They do expensive things (restaurants, tours etc) but are really open about yeah, we're lucky we can afford this. If you have the money behind you then just be gracious and say how fortunate you are... Don't insult us without this ohhh we budget and save hard. No amount of saving would cover SO many frequent trips and holidays. Not buying it.

Exactly. Having the money to do nice things isn't something to be ashamed of (even if it is from Mummy and Daddy and you are a grown ass adult). Why she continues to insult peoples intelligence is beyond me. Be kind.

I believe that they do save and cut back on things in their normal home life. But they are only cutting back on unnecessary luxuries like fancy meals out, takeaway coffees, high end cars and designer clothes. They aren’t cutting back on any of the essentials or even the nice things. The girls still get M&S clothes, Sian is still head to toe in fabletics, Callum has expensive running shoes. They have a gousto subscription, Disney Plus, Netflix, new puppy, etc etc They are living a perfectly comfortable home life. Nothing they are doing is anywhere near being a “sacrifice”

Then their holidays are just extravagant. If they have a $200 a day food budget for their next Disney trip then their food budget alone for their two WDW holidays is going to be a at least £3,000. They paid for return transatlantic flights for the girls at the drop of the hat for the last trip. By the end of February they will have been on 8 separate family holidays in 8 months; none of them cheap.

5 million people in the U.K. are in food poverty and can’t even afford it to eat. Those people make sacrifices. The Knapps do not.

This is why the budgetting thing really gets my goat. I get it all relative to their peers but its not real life. Sacrafices mean something very different to the 5 million in poverty than it does to these idiots. Forgoing a 500k house or getting 4 less coffees a month to pay for a holiday isnt the same as wondering if you can put the heating on for the kids or eat yourself.

They both need to come down to the real world with a hard bump but I'll settle for them taking the phases budget, sacrifice and going without out of their mouths.
