Anyone suffer with this condition? I’m doubtful! But if so, any advice on how to manage it? I have it really bad on my arms and I am so self conscious of it :( results in me always wearing long sleeve tops even in the summer when it’s so hot.

Sorry I don’t suffer with this but there is a great sub on Reddit called skincareaddiction which offers advice on all different skin issues and problems. I’ve seen many many posts on KP over there with people offering loads of advice and tips. Might be worth a look

Omg I have this and for years when I was young my mum just saud it was goosebumps lol..

Mines flares up at certain times and food etc

if I’m carrying extra weight and not exercising it looks worse and dairy and sugar seem to affect it so anything processed xxx

also I body brush in the shower then use coco butter on my arms and legs where it’s the worst if I really focus on it I can get it away but I get lazy sone times

I had this for years and didn’t know what it was. Try not to exfoliate too much as that increases the oil production and try Eucerin cream. I used it for a few months and it almost completely cleared up. Haven’t used it for ages now and it hasn’t got worse again so I imagine it’d clear up even more when I can be bothered to get some more

Soap and Glory do a scrub called The Scrub of Your Life and it works wonders for my KP.

Thank you! Will take a look. X

Ameliorate cream also good. Expensive but effective.
I’ve just started this actually! :)

I didn't find the ameliorate stuff worked for me, but the soap and glory lime scented body lotion did help my legs. I just couldn't get past the smell. With Summer coming up I might give it a go again though.

I'm about to try Paula's choice BHA liquid exfoliant, which is supposed to be for the face, but I'm going to patch test it on my arms. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

@WiKi which Eucerin cream was it you used? TIA

As mentioned above ameliorate is good for it, I use it along with dry body brushing and it seems to do the trick.

Budget alternative is Palmer’s smoothing lotion with AHA / BHA (it is quite strong smelling & not a nice scent though)

I struggle terribly and it is worse when I have anxiety as I tend to pick at it (my coping mechanism). I have tried so many different things but one thing I do recommend is a pumice stone. The dove mature skin moisturiser is the same as the more expensive creams (just 3 quid rather than 17 odd).

I think it’s different for everyone, apparently 1 in 2 people have this and it runs in families. Myself, sister, dad and uncle all have this. Me and my sister found different things work, I also found I developed it when I hit puberty and it’s worse at certain times of the month. Also sunlight helped me. I was naughty and had a few sun beds, along with exfoliating my arms/legs once a week and moisturising really reduce the appearance for me. I find the proper apricot body scrub is the best along with soap and glory.

Oh holy god so glad i seen this thread. I have it on my legs and upper arms. I ITCH like mad after a shower or bath!! Last summer i cried sore after every shower i itched that much i bled. Until i worked out i dont itch when i use Lush bath bombs. Then after researching a few wks ago i read that Soap and glory scrub of your life helps, well i tit you not iv used it twice in the bath so far, with a exfoliating glove and i see a difference already!! Then i slap on childs farm baby moisturiser 😍😍 my skin looks sooo much better already!and a bonus if you use false tan, i find tanning helps mine aswell.

I’ve had this all my life, I suffer so badly with dry skin but my arms and legs are the worst. I use ameliorate or eucerin which helps but so expensive. It helps with the bumpy texture but I have scars left over from years of picking away at it! What I have found, weirdly is when I’m pregnant it completely goes away (pregnant with my second). Comes back with vengeance after I’ve given birth though x

I have it too. I really hate it as it is all down my arms to my hands and on my lower legs so I have to be covered to wrists and ankles or just let it show. I let it show now but it makes me so unhappy. I recently started a policy of moisturizing my while arms every time I wash my hands and it may be slightly improving but not much!
