The reason I think this is possible is because she's talked about learning to recognise red flags. I suspect this is the case. Probaby for addiction as there could be an endpoint to that treatment, whereas ADHD will not be 'cured' by therapy. so it makes more sense to me she was able to get an extension to the BH for addiction treatment.

It could have been court ordered as a condition to see the kids.

Not to be pedantic but there is no endpoint for addiction. If you’re an addict you’re an addict for life and most people in recovery still have to attend meetings / have a sponsor for a very long time. The only end point to treatment would be if a person completes Rehab. Therapy for drug addiction is secondary to the treatment and again has no end point as it could take years to unpack a life time of dependency to drugs / alcohol,


Court ordered therapy session with an end date are more likely to be domestic violence related courses such as the freedom program. Which parents victim and perpetrators are both encouraged to do it order to get access back to their children
