Yes I have a membership.

it’s good if you are genuinely going to make proper use of the facilities and go regularly. Don’t get suckered into spending a fortune on a membership as they are rarely worth it. I wouldn’t personally spend more than £40 a month on a gym membership.

Thanks - I just tried to do a mental calc of how much per month and it's just under £40 - part of the reason I'm interested is peace and quiet tbh so I'll be able to evaluate when I have a look.

Did you find it helped much? I'd need to check spa and sauna are open as usual what with COVID as well!
Are you in the UK? Spa/sauna etc should all be open and operating as normal now.

i like going to the gym - I go about 4 times a week and tend to do an hour/90mins in the gym itself doing mixture of cardio and then weights and then I go for a swim/jacuzzi and steam room. I definitely get my monies worth for how much I use it.

Might be worth while trying a few you like as a day pass (some places actually offer this for free for one day) to see which one you like best before committing to a membership. I had one a few years ago and absolutely loved it!! Defo got my moneys worth swimming and jacuzzi alone! Loved the classes too for meeting new people. Agree with Betty wouldn’t spend more than £40 a month.

It's about £36.50pm - I'm particularly interested in this one, discount on restaurant, and I've got visions of doing a short workout, swim, jacuzzi like you (quick catnap in changing cubicles!!).

It's nice to read some positive experiences, I shall drop in tomorrow

There's one near me which seems good and is part of a hotel, standard gym, swimming pool sauna and spa. Tempted! I'll have a look around it first to see if it's as good as it sounds.

Are you a member of one? And how have you found it?
