Job interview

Hey all,
So I’ve just received an invitation for a zoom interview in a few weeks. I don’t know if I should say the company but I’ll hint at it (big tv network)
My application was extremely wanky. And by wanky I mean very over the top and pretty cringe but apparently that’s what they liked!
So anyway, the first part is to basically discuss a scenario based question with the rest of the candidates. I’ve never had an interview with other candidates so I’m a little worried on how to present myself. I’ve been given the brief for this scenario and it’s pretty straight forward. One of those, you either think with your head or your heart type things. So, how do I get myself noticed but also let everyone else speak? My weakness is I tend to lead too much and I’ve been told I’m bossy, meaning I struggle to let others share their opinions I think (haha I sound like such a cow )
Hopefully that made sense!

There's some good tips on indeed.uk and totaljobs.uk re group interviews. Good luck

Whenever I’ve had group interviews in the past, we’ve always took it in turns to answer questions.

So in one interview, it was a game and whoever landed on a certain square answered the question. Or in another they went around the group asking for opinions/answers to make sure everyone got a fair turn.

My best advice for these type of interviews is active listening skills. They usually want to see that you’re able to consider the views of others, communicate openly and not interrupt. It’s usually to highlight how well you’ll work within a team. Don’t cower away from speaking out, but don’t speak over anyone else or try to stand out too much. Just focus on being yourself and I’m sure you’ll do fab! Good luck
