Had a job interview today - done over a weeks prep and thought it went well. Got the call that I’d passed the interview but the other candidate scored higher. When do you stop feeling like shit?

Allow yourself to feel a bit rubbish about it for today, then draw a line under It and move on. It’s not about you - you did well in the interview but it just wasn’t meant to be. No point in wallowing in it, just crack on, keep applying for jobs and keep moving forward.

Thank you guys that makes me feel better - I know deep down that these things happen for a reason and that something better will come along it’s just so hard to snap out of this state of rejection!

I'm sorry that happened to you.

This is hard to do, but you have to remember that it wasn't right for you in some form, shape or manner ... it just wasn't aligned to your path. Get back on the (job hunting) horse and keep going.
