For a summary of Jo Good’s antics (with many photos ), please read over the Tattle Wiki, pink button above.

To recap the last thread, the main theme this last month or so was Middle Aged Minx giving her listeners and viewers a long tease, hinting about change, saying we don’t know what she’s dealing with, all will be revealed, saying she might have to consider getting a job in a shop or restaurant. This managed to attract maximum attention, sympathy and concern for weeks until she recently revealed her news, that her radio show shift has changed, to start at 10pm from 13th September.

She changed tack, deciding not to keep playing the wronged, disgruntled employee so made the announcement as if she was excited about it all - George will be producing (along with old hand Mel who will be needed to keep them in check), it will be “like a nightclub”, with Jo’s House Party coming from her flat or roof terrace, as well as West End visits out and about and the Barking at the Moon dog segment out on the BBC piazza. This new thread will continue recording this next chapter.

Other events during the last thread:

She laughed inappropriately at question from a boy who has autism (transcript and listen-again details on the wiki page)
Referred to Indigenous Australians as “aborigines” (transcript and listen-again details on the wiki page)
Used the BBC for a sobbing monologue about her £1,000 plus EDF bill. She lied saying the company did not have an email address or phone and asked listeners to help her because she lives alone (transcript and listen-again details on the wiki page, the outcome is also noted on the wiki page)
She continues to mention her monetised social media accounts on BBC Radio London, directing listeners to her vlogs, most of which contain some form of advertising.
Doing more desperate Hello Fresh flogs
Posted an Insta of a fungal finger manicure - inflamed cuticles painted with green Gucci nail varnish she had sent from Italy
She has not heard of Hertford, in Hertfordshire
Uses the new hose on the roof terrace to hang her washing along, was called by Sandra the caretaker to let her know it was all blowing away.
Left tripe dog food in her car on a hot day, wasn’t worried about the stink as she’s due to hand the car back.
Had a pity party meeting with Nadine Baggott at the Ivy Café. Nadine is suddenly very enthusiastically cheerleading for Jo, Tattlers are wondering why, does she feel sorry for her; is she on the payroll?
Jo Good Tattle Wiki page views is currently at 2,445.

Tattlers, please feel free to add to this.

In her recent Flog, she stated at the top that ‘now, more than ever, i need to build my audience’ when she urged people to subscribe.

@Mustard further to your post #1023 on the last thread:

"You can say it all the time! I was just pointing out her ’experience’ - I’m trying to be fair.

I didn’t care for Duncan Barkes when he first started even though he had a lot of radio experience. Found him quite overbearing, he frequently cut normal (not rude) callers off and he played extremely loud heavy rock late on the show, which wasn’t appropriate that late. This was before Radio London started to introduce music on a regular basis. He softened a lot over the years he was there"

I didn't say you were not being fair. I meant that she doesn't appeal to me when I had listened to her before. I'm the one who could be unfair for not at least giving her a listen next week before immediately dismissing her - with different subjects she may be quite good.

I mentioned diversity as this seems to be BBC RL's remit in the last few years.

I'm going to give Jeanette a go, not least for the reason that, ungraciously, Jo Good barely mentioned her as her replacement and was tepid at best in encouraging people to tune in to her. I haven't really enjoyed what I've heard of JK, but I'm not a fan of sport.

Just so you know, I wasn’t having a go at you. 😊 I’m really saying that I will give her a go when I’m at home or maybe even listen on Sounds to see what guests she has on. I wonder if they will keep some of the same items like the meditation - it was on today while Claira was covering. No mention appeared to be made of JG - it was called the Afternoon Show.

I think the main things Minge is good at are interviews with dancers/dance items and some theatrical related items. She’s also obsessed with makeup/skin care (and high end fashion) which I’m not, but it seems like this became more apparent after she started her Flog.

Sure as heck I'm going to listen to the night shift, she hasn't got rid of this listener! Maybe I'll tune in for the first hour, then some on listen-again for a laugh during my working day and a vent on Tattle!

I usually like something light at 10pm, and a bit of music doesn't hurt if on offer.

I used to like Iain Lee until he got too weird, then Cristo (although whenever he has awful Emma Kenny on I ban him for a few days). Nick Abbott is OK, as is James Whale, but in small doses only.

Paul Miller from BBC Radio Surrey is very light and plays a lot of music. His show goes out across many other BBC local radio stations from Monday to Thursday at 10 pm. No heavy subjects.

Thank you again! Seems like I keep having to apologise to you for not explaining myself properly in the first place - my problem, not yours

Oh no, meditation in the afternoon and evening? It will be interesting to see what changes will be made on the Afternoon Show. With Jo's many recent faux-pas, perhaps she will just do the fluffy luvvie and the semi-serious news stories will be on JK's programme.

Maybe they are just doing the meditation this week until her evenings start.

Could well be the case, but I wonder if Clare had the meditation for this week already recorded in advance, not knowing that Jo would 'mysteriously' not be on-air this week.

I don't listen when Jo is on leave. Whoever covers her programmes, do they still feature the meditation, or was today just a one-off?

Yes, they do but it’s only been going since after the pandemic started,

It’s commendable that she is being positive, even if it is just on the surface. She has probably realised that she likes her job more than she thought. Better that than whinging. When life gives you lemons etc. She is reframing it, with George’s help, to being a fresh opportunity. I might listen to her on Sounds for a bit. She may sharpen up her act.

But she wasn't positive to begin with and I think she is begrudgingly so now, or as you said, just on the surface. She has taken her BBC job for granted for far too long, although she loves to say "I don't know how long I will have this position" - so stop being slap-dash and concentrate on what pays your mortgage(s) and not so much time on your vanity flogging.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call and she could end up having a good radio programme and a far better and even profitable vlog.

I cannot believe Genevieve (this is 50), is 59 years old.
I was watching the vlog thinking here Jo is again with women 20 years younger than her.

I thought that too. If you go on her Instagram she looks in her 50s though, early 50s. Crazy to think there is only 7 years between MAM and her. MAM is an advert for bad nutrition and sun damage. She may have smoked in the past too.

Really? I would of gave her late 40's at the most. Regardless your right, I have a cousin like Jo with an eating disorder her whole life looks about 10 years older.
