Just joined Tattle (hi! ) to say that I'm appalled by the virtual signalling in Jess' latest post.

Last June, I called her out on a post where she made excuses for Rebecca Meldrum's racist YouTube debacle. There was some discussion about it on here - it's the post where she has her arse hanging out on the beach (well, one of the many). My message to her was completely reasonable - I explained why Rebecca Meldrum was so hurtful and offensive (particularly at that time because RM was refusing to acknowledge how problematic the video was or apologise for it). I didn't swear or insult Jeas. She blocked me and deleted my comment and I was flamed so much in my DMs by her minions that I deleted my Instagram account.

Today I see she has decided to join the #blackouttuesday movement and is preaching about how important equality is to her.

I feel so helpless and frustrated. I wrote a long message to her, but then decided not to post it. My well-thought-out message to try and get her to understand would just be deleted again within minutes and I would be blocked.

I hate hate hate the insincerity of people like Jess Avey, Mrs Meldrum and This Mama Life (Sarah) jumping on a socio-political bandwagon they don't really give a shit about just for the Insta likes.

For all the travelling that she bangs on about she’s pretty unaware.

All celebrity life coaches are ridiculous. It's a current fad they have jumped on, like being a PT was a couple of years ago. But I wonder what the more old school mind coaches think of the likes of jess making a mockery of their profession?

I'm studying my ass off (psychology with counselling), to hopefully become a psychologist; it drives me insane when these influencers do an online course for 12 weeks and think they can solve the world's problems.

That’s exactly the sort of thing I mean when I talk about her priorities. She misses doctors appointments, forgets about non uniform days, has to drop off packed lunches during the school day etc but ALWAYS makes time for the gym, meditation, selling the dream to her desperate followers. I really dislike white, western, privileged women using photos of themselves posing with Cambodian children to post on their social media as if these children are props to make themselves look kind and caring.

She come across so badly to me personally last night whilst doing her self care.when she talked about how she's personally doing well from her business and how people have more disposable income at the moment to spend on skin care as they aren't travelling to and from work and still being paid. Is she living on this planet some companies haven't been able to pay the furlough money yet this month until the government grant comes through!! Key workers who are still working are under more pressure than usual, I'm sure they aren't all spending 3 hours a day meditating and doing skin care routines. She's just so out of touch with reality. How can she ever "life coach" someone, when she has no grasp on life herself. She may have redemmed herself in her chat, I don't know. I switched off after hearing that crap.

This post is just insane I couldn’t stop laughing. Let me tell you what Jess, this morning I woke up, I LISTENED to the sound of my 5 year old screeching for his Nintendo. I TASTED a stale sip of blackcurrent that’s been on my bedside table a few days... I SMELT the baby’s sweet nappy aroma confirming the morning poop and i FELT my slightly bobbly duvet cover as I quickly made the bed. And do you know what? I’ve had a nice chilled out day. You don’t need an expensive Neom Candle to sniff in order to have a great day.

On day 2 shes having a child free weekend!

Now I know the boys should see their dad, and in terms of Covid restrictions that's absolutely fine.
But dont complain about doing it ALL on your own, then go straight into a child free weekend and a girls night

The poor boys have had such an unsettling couple of years. First Pete left for months, it obviously had an effect on Jasper as remember she said he started weeing in his pants/on the floor on purpose? The boys visit Pete at a different house.
Then months later Pete is back. They are back together and head off to Jamaica for the summer. After everything he did removing her blog and cancelling her gym membership to name a few.
Then they are split up again but they still live together in the same house in separate bedrooms and she doesn’t admit to it for ages. Then there’s domestic violence and she and the boys have to leave immediately to stay with her parents.
Then Pete moves to Jamaica and she’s back in the house, boys moved again.
Now they’ve to move again to another new place.
I’m sure there’s been other stuff happen that she hasn’t said on camera.
So unsettling for the boys, especially one that’s just started school.

It’s actually ridiculous that she thinks her customers owe her anything.
Shes not some small business mixing up lotions and potions in her kitchen that someone else is trying to copy and rip off. She’s selling a HUGE brand that thousands of other people sell.

And as for the “I put in so much effort and passion into this tropic content” no, Jess love, you record yourself washing your face every day hardly hard graft is it?

I've had to unfollow her, after her ass shaking story. I'm sorry but you can empower women and show how independent and strong women can be without using your half baked body to do it. I kind of feel that by doing so youre actually backing the idea that women are to be objectified and sexualised rather than to be aspired to or looked up to.
That being said I think women should be able to jiggle their body around without it being seen as a sexual thing but that's not what Jess is doing is it!

I must admit I did laugh today when she was making a big thing on insta stories about Jasper wanting to donate half of his toys to charity and when she asked him about it he said something like “yeah and daddy says if we donate toys he’ll take us to the toy shop and buy us new toys” Out of the mouths of babes! And Jess was like “yes but that’s not why you’re donating them, right?!!!”
