Was thinking about the film 'Winters Bone' and wondered what happened to her. She was very popular at one point and thought she'd go up and up. However she's just seemed on a gradual decline for about 5 years. I've only heard bits about her over the years but was she quite awkward in interviews or something? I know she had an Oscar bait move a few years ago that failed but not heard anything since then.

She was everywhere for a while wasn’t she? I thought she was good in silver linings playbook. She got married a year or so ago. There were also rumours linking her to harvey weinstein.
I was wondering about her earlier today and how strange it is she just disappeared. I did think part of it might have been her distancing herself from the whole Weinstein thing.
Used to be a fan (was obsessed with The Hunger Games for a while), but she just seemed to play the same role in every film

Whatever movies she had in the pipeline are probably delayed because of the pandemic (for example X Men is rescheduled for this summer).
If there’s anything to the Weinstein rumours she’s a victim. Similar to how she’s a victim of the iCloud hack.
I think she’s a really good actress and is more than just another beautiful actress. She carried a massive franchise at such a young age and has already won an Oscar plus a few other nominations. A mini break is probably no harm.

I think her 'American Hustle' role was supposed to cement her in Hollywood but just didn't seem to happen. Don't think her performance got a great reaction.
Shame she had to deal with Weinstein, must have been awful
Harvey Weinstein's phone photos got leaked, including ones of her nude. This confirmed to Hollywood (though they already knew) that she had slept with him and she also was sleeping with David O. Russell. Took the sheen off her and her movies all tank now.

It was her icloud that was hacked wasn't it? Don't think it had anything to do with Weinstein but happy to be proved wrong
IIRC the story was that the pics were hacked from someone else's phone, not hers, and had been sent to "a producer", which was obviously assumed to be Weinstein. The general theory (which I dont think is actually backed up with anything) is that she had consensual sex with Weinstein to further her career, which is why she never spoke out against him directly.
Pretty obviously a Weinstein girl, without him in her corner her career has stalled.

No one deserves to have private pictures leaked without their consent, that must have been horrific for her. It wasn't just her nudes it was loads of private pictures, just regular day to day and some nights out etc. There was a pic with a penis / sperm and I did wonder whos it was, she was supposed to be with Nicholas Holt at the time but he never spoke about it. To be clear, I didn't go looking for the pictures, they were just all over social media and hard to avoid at the time

I think she realised she was becoming ubiquitous and that people were a bit sick of her, so she went away for a while.The Weinstein rumours were true, but as others have said,in her case it was consensual,which is why she didn't speak out as loudly as other women.Olivia Wilde,Renee Z,Blake Lively were all rumoured to have had consensual sex with Weinstein,there are probably lots of actresses who did. 
She is a pretty talented actress, Katniss and Winters bone were incredible roles for her. I loved the Hunger games films.
I don't think anything has definitively been proven about her and Weinstein? Its an area where there were far too many rumours... and not enough facts. She might have been the kind of girl...who flirts like mad....but who knows how to let creeps down gently without causing offense, maybe using humour? He was a bully, and a liar, but there are some who are able to stand up to bullies, and work with them? (Not that this justifies his actions- im glad he went down.......)
But I dont think he helped her career, as he tried to market her in films like Silver linings playbook, or American Hustle, where she played vamp type roles, which contradicted completely her role as Katniss.
Then she priced herself out of the market, and became too famous...and too contradictory! She acted in too many different genres...edgy films like Winters bone, blockbusters like The Hunger Games and the X men, So she didnt have a clear market or fans to appeal to, Then she did a series of badly recieved films like Mother....which left her without anywhere else to go!

I don't know much about this but l question whether any talented amd attractive young woman would consent to sleep with that pig. I think we need to rethink consent. She may not have spoken out for many reasons, it doesn't necessarily imply guilt.
Crazy exaggeration to say her career was “killed”. She’s in one of the bigger movies out in 2021 and the pandemic halted most things. Red Sparrow was in 2018/2019 and X Men was meant to be 2020. Hardly a career that was “killed”.
I don’t understand why so many here are talking like this on here. No actor or actress will have every film be a box office smash or Oscar winner. She’s still a major star.
Yes, re Weinstein, but then she also got cast in a couple of her movies like Joy and Silver Linings Playbook because she was dating the much older director (David O Russell). Fair or unfair, I think the perception is that she was sleeping with people to get ahead and that movie where she was a Russian spy and Mother! also tanked, so there was that. Did she win 2 oscars? I think she's a fine actress, but definitely not that good, so unsurprising if there's resentment in Hollywood over it.
I think she just made a ton of money, worked constantly and decided to take a step back for a bit.

I believe those photos of her were when she was with her ex, no? I can't remember the guy's name, but think he was the British guy.

Weinstein would have destroyed or derailed her career if she hadnt slept with him. In a legal definition coercion is grape.
Consenting under duress isnt consent.
