Recap! Guest's been mostly quiet but did resurface briefly for New Years to tell us she was sitting eating biscuits in front of the TV with the Teen who adores his Mama and would rather spend the holidays with her than his mates. She also hinted that said Teen's dad is back in the picture but the canal ain't bovvered Guest has also been watching lots of TV and movies with "Knightley" and "Aikaterina (sic) Hadjipateras", because deadnaming is OK when she does it.

The canal discussed whether to revive the Slopalong this year - shall we do it? Mitherings from the past included shocking slops, rushed relationships, consensual Perky Blinders, and guest's camping trip. We also had a bit of tea from @Elsie Ben Felyn that at the time of the December 2012 Sunday People article about how POOR she was, guest was actually regularly coming up to London where she was known in lesbian circles and had modelling/photography work. There was also the suggestion that in the pre-"fame" days she dated a woman with a wealthy girlfriend/wife - who guest promptly moved onto after learning said sweetheart had all the cash! We initially heard that rumour a while back from another frau, I wonder if they're still around?

I have to be honest, I think there is a big difference between deadnaming vs just using someone’s non-stage (or pen) name.

Jack is obviously being a massive twit to big up how wonderfully fluent she isn’t in Greek but unless there’s an article out there about how much Kathryn Hunter hates her old name and never wants it to be used again (vs the ones saying she changed it simply because it helped her career) I don’t think it counts as deadnaming any more than using someone’s maiden name that they just changed because they got married is generally deadnaming them.

It’s really pathetic when people take the piss out of Walliams (or SeanN Walsh) they’re just getting round the equity rules without completely changing their name. Nobody’s making a point of calling David McDonald out for changing his name to Tennant.
Please be aware that Gregg Wallace is just a bleep who spells it that way.

I agree with that! It'd just be nice if she would extend it to other people as well. But then, I suppose, that's all part and parcel of what an unpleasant person she really is. She acts all jovial on social media etc. but the gloves come off very quickly

If we didn't already know she's a conservative who was born ready to draw her pension, the silly bleep can't help but attribute nonsense masculine and feminine stereotypes to bleeping martial arts and ballet. She's as thick as tit. It's like the shite my 80 year old chauvanist uncle would say, and yet it's sold by her (and to be fair, she's far from the only one) as progressive to make pronouncements about your gender based on how much or little you meet old fashioned social expectations of what it is to be male or female. That story about her son using her birth name is yet another account where she manages to make herself the victim of a five year old and apparently can't see that all she's really doing is revealing what a failure as a parent she is. She's horrific, I cannot imagine the things that poor kid has been blamed for. There's nothing and nobody she won't blame for her own many and varied failures. She'd tit the bed and blame the sheets, the selfish head.

Re guest's claim that she took both martial arts and ballet as a teen because she didn't feel fully masculine or feminine: BS. Female ballet dancers might have to flit around and look delicate and sweet, but they have to be very athletic and tough to do it well. But if guest only got as far in ballet as posing in a leotard, perhaps she doesn't understand that.
