The Greenbelt talk is my aneurysm. As a former foster child, survivor of CSA and incest, and unspeakable trauma (ACE score of 10/10) THIS is the thing that's angered me (paraphrasing):

"My parents were foster carers and from the age of 5 I've known full well, far too much about the darkest underbelly of the world, far too much about trauma, abuse, how difficult things can be...I was woken up in the night by girls as young as 8 who would tell me stories about things household members had done to them"

Making these things part of your story, feeling though they somehow qualify you to speak on behalf of all disadvantaged people, that really makes me furious. And all delivered in that warbly little pity me voice

And don't even get me started on the singing! That whole faux modesty thing "I sincerely apologise for what I'm about to do", trying to come across as self deprecating when if that really were the case she wouldn't be doing it. You can tell she thinks she's amazing in her delivery. So poignant. So fragile. So smol.

I for one am waiting with bated breath for Jack and SB's winter Scottish camping adventure. I wonder when it'll start.

Given that it has rained 147 days out of the last 150 here, and the whole of Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire are slowly sinking into the mud...I'd gently, sweetly, softly advise against it. I met two men coming off the West Highland Way at Milngavie the other day, and they were genuinely traumatised by how grim the conditions were (the warm winter means what is normally frozen ground, easy to walk on, is a boggy slog) .

And these lads were experienced walkers and wild-campers, not a southern doughball who claims to have arthritis and has never gone wild camping in her life, nevermind wild camping with an unhappy child, a rambunctious dog, and 35mm of rain per hour landing atop her head. Good lord, I think that if Mountain Rescue had to go out and save them they would probably charge her with wasting time and resources, just like they did those eejits who attempted Ben Nevis in flip-flops.

(Seriously though, there is no solid ground left in Scotlands' Central Belt, the mud has consumed us all, please send help, rubber dinghies and dry socks. )

To be fair, is it stealing? This is an open website and we must assume anything we say or share is public. We don’t do it for money or clout, but we have no control over others using receipts and information to do so.

The positive thing is that Molly -regardless of what you think of her - has spread the knowledge that Jack is a liar and a charlatan. Does the end justify the means? In this case I like to think so.
(Disclaimer I think ‘Molly’’s behaviour has been a bit weird since she got a bit of a name for herself but I overlook it for the greater good of exposing Jack as a liar and a fraud).

she says she took 2 packets of sleeping pills, all her heart pills, two packs of paracetamol and drank a bottle of vodka. Seems trivial but where did she get vodka? She and SB were living on water and dry bread. When she went to the FB the day after she had a cup of tea 'for the first time in weeks'. It probably is explainable but just makes no sense. Possible reasons - A friend gave it? Why didn't they give them food instead? She shoplifted it? Why not food instead?
Also no mention AT ALL of SB's dad. Airbrushing him out was disgraceful of her. Utterly disgraceful.

I have a theory about Jack and her parents. You know how it’s often said on here that she has this odd dichotomy of wanting to be both admired and pitied? I think that is literally the influence of her father and mother.
Admired comes from her father, she must have grown up seeing Big D being lauded from all corners and wanted a bit of that. It’s where her ridiculous attempts at swagger and toughness come from too. She’d love to be ex army, ex firefighter, have the scars and stories to show for it, to hint she’s stared into the void, done things, seen things. She wants to be tank girl, but ends up as twonk girl.
Pitied comes from her mother. Her mum, afaik, really does have some form of arthritis and maybe even walks with a stick. I bet she grew up hearing about how her poor mum works so hard, either as a nurse or later a fosterer. How how good and selfless her mum is, how she keeps going despite the pain. She also wants that, to be the martyr, bravely carrying on through the tears and pain, because her work is so important.
I hope that makes some sense, I’m still full of Covid and brain fog.

She also claims to have been hospitalised following an attempt on her life but weirdly the hospital didn't enquire into her living circumstances and raised no concern about a child being at home with a parent in such deep mental distress. Weird that she ran around naked with her pre teen boy in the house. I know some families do naked at home time together but it's not for me.
