I’m a wannabe professional writer, and extremely mindful there are many people who want to do the job, who expect to be paid for any old, narrow appeal, basic scrawl that came out of their brain this morning and they think the world is blessed by (and we are typically not).
Putting words on a page doesn’t equal cash, otherwise I’d be paid for this post.

. Ffs.I found out about the blog through TD who I follow on Twitter and was horrified. The big lie- that she is poor- is so obvious to me. That and she doesn't have primary custody of SB, hence why she can downsize to a 1bed. Trying to get on the property ladder by downsizing is perfectly fine, but it does not make for a pitiful story, much as she'd like to pretend otherwise. In fact it was framed as a positive step forward not too long ago but she realised poverty porn gets cash.
Plenty of published cookery writers work in kitchens, many novelists work in bookshops. She's being pitied for not earning enough money when she doesn't want to get a job. Then there's the 'anniversary' angle from hunger hurts - and the links at the bottom - all so obviously contrived. And the little lies- she is not malnourished, how offensive is that? Turning off the hot water ..... really?! The references to long hard hours implying some kind of physical labour. The snipes at Louisa who clearly grafted to get on the property ladder and was only able to do this in her 40s.

Quite. Most of us have to work in a PAYE job for a living, and also elect to live somewhere within our household budget.
If I was smarter I'd rework the mrs Merton Debbie McGee quote to jack and why she stays doing something that makes her so much money for so little effort.
No, people are "sniping" at you Jack because, despite having a good income from many sources, you are completely unable to live within your means. It the lack of transparency about your outgoings Vs income. Syphoning money off into numerous different bank accounts so one current account shows £0 does not make you poor.
