Hello lovelies. I’m sorry to say I’ve had some time off. The last Monroe-ing I caught up with was the fateful this morning appearance. Then I went off about my usual life and kept meaning to catch up on the threads.

Anyway, last night I got a late night call to say my mum had gone into hospital. I don’t really know why I’m telling you this, other than, you feel a bit like friends, for someone who doesn’t have many real life friends. I am an adult, but an only child, and I feel really helpless and very responsible. I feel like a kid again.I am scared. I’ve stayed up all night in case of an update. I couldn’t stand to miss a phone call, especially if things deteriorate.

And what’s kept me going (and awake) are these threads. I was suitability SHOOKETH at JMs appearance on TL. Amazing stuff. Still catching up slowly but just wanted to say thank you for being my company this evening, even if you didn’t know you were helping someone, you were

x
I hope your mum is doing well, take care of yourself too. xx

Ugh! I was hoping she’d have a day off, I’ve got tit to do!

Same here. I thought I was all tattled up and then the tweets appear. Dammit. I am going into the garden to potter, go wild with a strimmer.

I've been pondering how she managed to fit all these jobs in? She's 32, SB is 10, so she's not 'worked' in that sense since she was 21ish (not stalking, she's mentioned their birthdays are in the same month, so allow for that crossover mat. leave bit) Assuming Saturday jobs starting at maybe 14, that's only really seven years to do all these things.
Exactly. I'm 20 years older than JM and i haven't done half the things she's claimed to have done.

Just bursting in with another book recommendation, as that’s what most of us are here for:

if you have been inspired by everyone’s favourite chaos pixie and her championing of her Cypriot heritage (🙄🙄🙄, no seriously, why doesn’t she explore this more?!?!?!), or otherwise, the amazing Taverna by Georgina Hayden is only £1.99 on Kindle at the moment.

Talk about travelling through cookery cooks — really evocative, accessible food ....
Love her. Follow her on IG. She used to work for THAT MAN 😂 her tzastiki recipe is amazing.

You know, Jack, just as you can post what's you want, so can anyone else. That's why if you don't want these inane interactions, you don't put tit like this out there.
Also, have you thought about clove oil/a&e/a lip amputation/taking a painkiller/sucking on a kumquat? Just trying to help, babe! X
But wouldn’t the kumquat fur get stuck in her mouth hole which is right down to the nerve? 😜

And she's off again. Round and round she'll go in the cycle of abuse towards her minions.
If she’s so constantly annoyed by the nature of twitter wtf is she posting things that are of no importance 24/7 . I get people posting political opinions, funny comments etc, even asking for advice makes sense. Complaining and then refusing advice when people try and help is so illogical

I love your deep mind.

The current situation is hard isn’t it - a microcosm of emotions and hormones under one roof. I don’t know how old your son is, but mine is 12. Yesterday he flipped out at me for not letting him go on the Xbox for longer than 3 hours 😳 and said he’s had enough of me and wishes he didn’t have to see me every day 😭 kids! It bleeping hurts when they talk to you like that but I try to remember that I would have hated to have been stuck with my mum day in and out at his age.

My closure to any argument is always: ‘However bad you think you have it, remember that there’s someone else who has it ten times worse.’ (He’s not JM though 😂)

Sending solidarity.
For many years I lived alone with my two boys (they saw their dad every fortnight). My favourite stroppy son story is when my oldest who was about 14 at the time broke my desktop because he went on a “dodgy“ site and infected it with about a million viruses.
Obviously words were had and his final say was to shoit loudly at me “EVERYONE ELSE’S PARENTS LET THEM WATCH PORN!” as he stormed upstairs.

He‘s 25 now and is fully aware I plan to tell that story at his wedding should there ever be one.
Much solidarity to everyone going through lockdown with kids.
