I've owned and worked with a lot of different rabbits over the last 23 years. They all have a different character and temperament. As a species, they do not enjoy being handled or cuddled. Their preference is not to be picked up at all. They like head rubs and gentle ear strokes. Everything has to be done on their terms. Every so often there will be a rabbit that is incredibly loving and affectionate, those rabbits will hop into my arms, lick me and follow me everywhere. But for every one super friendly bunny, there are 10 largely indifferent ones. They require a lot of patience, nuance and specialised care. Jack holding Dash like that was Jack doing it for a performance. It's sickening. Animals are not toys and no amount of pets will fix a person either.
