I thought she always donated the meals from recipe testing/shooting to a worthy cause? (Against every hygiene regulation going but she said it so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø).

How and why does one smoosh fennel?
Or celery?

Tbh the whole menu (apart from the coffee) sounds like it belongs in the bin.

Kale and sweetheart cabbage on their own (with their own flavourings) are beautiful. Why would you mix two greens with two entirely different flavours and textures?

Fennel and celery are both strong flavours and need to be dealt with carefully if put together. I doubt Jack has done this, given the term ā€œsmooshā€.

Potatoes are just scrummy if cooked simply. Why add more? What has happened to her pared back cooking. Just add oil and garlic ffs.

Canā€™t comment on the meat. Soz.

The loaf? No words. Maybe build a house?

The pudding? Freeze the berries. Add hot white chocolate (Ina ā¤). No need for her faffing with tarts and custard if she hates food so much.

I am now tit at cooking, was good but fā€™ed it up from years of being a twit. Even I know her menu looks like bin swill.

Catching up but I caught 10 minutes of the BAFTAs earlier and Richard Ayoade said something about being a celebrity and doing 2 hours work and now obviously heā€™s exhausted. I immediately thought of the smol pixie who could do 50 of those shifts in a week.

Iā€™m confused. I thought Jacks book was money saving shite (saving your naval fluff to set fires with), and a political discourse on The Poverty full of righteous fury and anger, but now it seems itā€™s another book about ā€˜brahhhhn slopā€™ (I always think of brown the way Waynetta Slob says brown).
What is it Jack? Iā€™m not going to buy it/them. But your publisher must just love throwing good money after bad.

Just how does someone shoot a book?
Sorry if it's been asked, I've not caught up yet and I'm baffled. šŸ˜ Send enlightenmentos
I believe this is what all the cool kids tossers are saying in place of 'book photography'. I shot some grafitti today.

In response to a squig asking why she isnā€™t on the BBC after ā€œa very successful Saturday lockdown kitchen or whatever it was calledā€ šŸ™„

Didnā€™t want to miss posting on thread 300 ninnies! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ forever on a grunk these days, I canā€™t skip as Iā€™m always worried Iā€™ll miss something!

I also had vienettas as a child and thought they were posh. We didnā€™t have much money but my mum always made a nice Sunday dinner followed by pudding (most came the freezer). Also liked some Gino ginelli (tutti fruit what a cutie šŸŽ¶), big fan of mint choc.

I had a cornetto tonight as couldnā€™t be arsed going out, still in the Italian genre though šŸ˜‚

Another shy frau here joining in with the 300th celebration!

Been following since thread 1 (came over to Tattle in 2018, after 'ModGate' on another gossip - not MN - site! Stayed ever since!).
I have loved all the support, humour and camaraderie, especially during the lock downs. Loved all of the sharing of advice and kindness including recipes, pet-os, how-to-grow veggies, the gifs (<insert gif here>) and the pregnancies (those babies are now toddlers!) before those were gently, softly elbowed over to the lovely OT Food & Drink thread!

Without getting into a longer story about how I came across/learned about JM I just wanted to say that, unfortunately, I have Pov stories aplenty. My mom was one of 15 kids growing up in the 1930s-50s in a Midlands industrial town, with much generational poverty both before and after. Lots of hardship and heartbreak but I can't remember a single story about having to sell light bulbs...

Happy 300th and love to all the Fraus, Herrs and mithering ninnies! ā¤

(Still feeling shy! šŸ¤)

Itā€™s these sorts of lies I find the most baffling. We suspect a lot of what she says about her past are either lies or gross exaggerations, but we canā€™t definitely prove it. However, many of us and many of her Twitter followers will have cooked for a larger group, and we know what itā€™s like and while it can be stressful it doesnā€™t involve sweating and trashing your kitchen.
I thought her oven was already broken. I am sure that's why she couldn't cook something one time.

When I am off my tits I like to imagine lots of lovely nice scenarios where I am this amazing, super confident best thing in the world but also run though in my head loads of potential scenarios of how I would like things to go or amusing potnetial things. I donā€™t normally post these imaginary things on twitter.

Sheā€™s regaling tales of how OH wears clothes similar to their sibling and wellā€¦embarrassing things happened.

Not SS because it isnā€™t funny, it probably never happened and she is just being peak Jack.

Ugh.
