I know there are more pressing matters and you guys have prob moved on but… what’s bad about fortnightly bins?! We have our big bin done once every 3 weeks!!! THREE, Jack, THREE!!! Should I be wailing and clawing at my council offices? Anyway, enough bin talk, we’ve been there, done that

We don’t have wheelie bins here in Southend. People would be dumping even more sacks of rubbish over the streets if it goes to fortnightly collections. Not that Jack cares seeing as she has a regular communal skip!

Because, maybe I’m overthinking this, but I’ve just realised, if we include champagne it might seem disrespectful to her recovery. Even though we all know has its own meaning.

When we found our current place, there were 17 applications for it. Mostly families with kids. And it’s a very standard house in a not terrible but not massively desirable area. We only got the place because my husband knows someone who works at the letting agency and they put in a good word with the landlord. Jack has NO idea.

I actually think she’ll struggle when she moves. She’ll have awful references, bad credit rating, self employed etc etc. Last time she was house hunting, it was with LJC’s salary and pre-Covid. Covid has fucked the rental market, and we all know princess Jack has champagne tastes on a homemade koombacha budget. Normally, if you’re high income and self employed, you can offer to pay six months up front. But there’s no way she’s saved that. And while she might get another skip and downsize, there’s no way she’s moving to an area that’s beneath her.

I’m in one of the “worst” areas of the inner city but it’s at better than my home town But landlords have had a shock thinking they can charge £900 a month for battered terraced houses that haven’t been upgraded since the 90a, oooft they’re coming down in price fast. But still won’t rent to a single mother. (nor in the other 10 areas I’ve looked at either!)

I would love to see her live in my area for a month. It’s deprived, around 60% of the kids at all schools speak English as a second language, so she would fit right in, being a Pov with a knack for learning new languages very fast and all. She would be up the arse of my Labour MP (who’s been extremely useful the last few months) within seconds and would likely get told to duck right off.

She lives in Thorpe Bay except for when she wants to appear poor and then it’s Shoebury. Thorpe ward contains the extra fancy houses (they definitely use real lemons and butter) Southchurch and West Shoebury have a mix but the larger houses are closer to Thorpe.

lol it pisses me off so much, I mean it's so indicative of her ridiculous world view. Jack's like yeaah I live in a slightly different postcode from those people who are posher than me who have actual swimming pools, I don't have a swimming pool or even an ORANGERY so I'm pure slumming it. It's so bizarre more people don't pick up on it, but maybe it's not bizarre at all - people living outwith the south of england wealth bubble don't have a freaking clue who Jack is, after all.
