Are there food shortages in the UK now? The shelves looked a bit sparse when we were home in the summer and there was definitely less choice. My mum and sister tell me everything is fine but they only shop online and I don’t trust them!
There’s definitely some issues, it’s not Russia circa 1970s or Cuba but there are things missing - like, last couple of times I’ve been shopping at my local Aldi can’t get tinned plum toms but can get chopped tinned tomatoes.
Just the odd thing that’s not been stocked for a few weeks, I’m sure I could get them in sainos but IM POOR!
Eta - I’m not poor, just jacking.

Not the sardines again
It started with fresh fruit and veg, then bread and now some specialist vegan items. Some item shelves are currently empty for weeks on end before there is a restock. I'm not seeing pandemic level shortages but definitely less choice and some others missing altogether with no idea of when they will be back. At least that is how it how it has been in my rural part of Scotland since late summer.

why would you roast tinned sardines? If it smells anything like the microwaved tinned sardines that my absolute DICK of a boss eats in our very tiny office then i can only assume that when Jack caught the postman sniffing outside her front door he was sniffing in sheer horror at the thought that there might be a body decomposing inside
