I hope this isn’t what about-ery, but considering she’s apparently WC and has all these fond memories of her socialist dad her campaign would be a bit further reaching?

The NHS is amazing there’s absolutely no denying that and this isn’t detracting from them and the literal trauma inflicted upon them, but there are a LOT of other keyworkers the centrist Twitterati dgaf about (see: when they all complained their cleaners weren’t risking their lives to clean their skiddies in LD1). Food & e-commerce have exploded over this time and millions of people in this country are putting themselves at risk of exposure to keep us fed and with the bits we need? No one should be on below the living wage working at either, but they are, whilst the firms rake in mega takings!

Jack doesn’t care tho she’d have happily got that Hermes driver fired for smashing one plate she had no doubt John Lewis would replace the cretin
And in work benefits for those people working in these areas is just another way of subsidising these companies. They make huge profits by paying their staff minimum wage, but the country top up those wages with benefits because no one can live on such low income.

If the companies paid decent wages, then the country wouldn't have to top up wages so that people can live, and benefits could be better targeted to those out of work, sick or disabled.

The benefits bill is so huge because of the in work benefits, it just isn't sustainable.

To be honest, MP's don't give a duck about letters whether you vote for them or not. As a lifelong Labour voter, I wrote to my MP about a local issue. I received a reply from her assistant which basically said "I know, it's not good is it?".

My MP in Salford (Rebecca Long Bailey) doesn't have to worry about being re elected, so complacency regarding constituency matters is very high.

The Thunderclap idea is more likely to be counterproductive, as it will irritate the very MP's you are trying to win over. Clogging someones Twitter/email/post will get a similar response to Jack's explanation of her thunderclap hashtag. It will be a standard brush off reply.

Conservatives have a huge majority, and 4 years until next election. Labour, without the support of the SN haven't a cat in hells chance of getting in at the next election. SN will not give their support unless they get an independence referendum, which they will win. Once Scotland gains independence Labour would be in a terrible situation, without a realistic chance of power.

The country is fucked for many years ahead. No stupid hashtag or tweeting will change that.

I'm on one again......where's that soapbox I left lying about?😂

ETA I swore twice in that diatribe, you lot are having an effect on me. 😬
I’m in my 40s and have voted since age 18. I have never voted for someone who got elected. I still vote by proxy in the uk, but the longer I live here in a benevolent dictatorship the better option it seems... joking aside, I 100% agree that the things Jack is suggesting will just waste admin time during a pandemic.

Completely agree. Clogging the inbox of anyone in the public sector during a global pandemic with vanity complaining is counterproductive. We've all got tit to do. We all know the NHS funding model isn't fit for purpose. We all know public opinion on it.

It costs money, taxpayer's money, to field and respond to these emails. It creates stress and pressure, especially if you have to respond within a certain time. It stops urgent actionable issues getting through to where they need to be in good time. And guess who's responding and getting all that stress about something they are powerless to influence or change? Not the best-paid person at the top of the tree, that's for definite.

Oh Lord, I'd forgotten about that! When all the twitter 'feminists' tried to start a pile-on on Owen Jones (who I'm not even a fan of) by calling him misogynistic because he said low paid cleaners (predominately women) shouldn't have to risk their health by coming in to clean their houses in the middle of a pandemic. LOL #tehdiscourse

I used to manage a social care team for a local authority. Staff directly under their employ had fair contracts, pension, good training and access to union reps the staff of the private company we contracted to for sickness and staff vacancy cover didn't. In fact they charged staff newly arrived from other EU countries for training , rent in shared houses and english lessons.
The people paid very badly in hospitals are the contracted out cleaners.
Contracting out obliges the council/ NHS to look for the lowest tender and not the best option for their clients. Contacting your MPs will do nothing to help these workers .

I work in residential care and and not aware PPE is still an issue, being knackered from all the extra precautions and extra shifts due to staff isolating and shielding very much is now. I can only imagine how the NHS staff feel

This is probably the best moment of her entire life.

Or was it when she was briefly in a kitchen with MR? 🤔
It was actually when Cooper got in the kitchen and got cat hair everywhere on her cookery programme wasn’t it?
Shes the founder of a hashtag? What the actual duck? #JackMonroeIsAnIdiot

ETA I'm late and everyone else has said this already. Soz.
let’s get this trending!

My favourite tweet is the one where she is accused of wanting a pay rise and she says Not for me.

What was all that crying at Rishi Sunak bollocks about the day before then?
She wanted emotional support from Rish Mate- the understanding chancellor.

All she wants is an MBE.

I had a panicked thought the other day that she’ll probably be a guest on Desert Island Discs before long ☹

Did we ever find out anymore about that collaboration with a ‘beloved’ pop star she mentioned before Christmas?

Just asking as she seems the kind of guest Jessie Ware would have on her Table Manners podcast. Either that or she’s ended up on The Masked Singer with Sophie Ellis Bextor and Mel B.

Catching up but the audacity of saying she earns 23k and takes no dividends and then shortly after claims she's now #excludeduk. How much disrespect does she have for her followers to say such contradictory things? Does she ever see a hashtag trending and not try to jump on it💩

You wouldn't have a limited company if you earnt 23k. I'd be surprised if her gross income is not at least 100k in the last 12 months
She’s lying by omission. The company makes loads of money but she only *takes* 23k, and she will be charging all food, travel, sideboards etc as company expenses so they won’t count. She only has 23k of what Tony Soprano would call ‘walking around money’. The rest she is saving to buy a house outright with no mortgage.

Yep, but she must be taking it out of the company account and stuffing it into her personal one. Otherwise it'll show on the company balance sheet and she can't use it, is my understanding.

Or has her time with the west London elite hooked her up with some fancy tax avoidance contacts? I'm not sure how that all works as I don't earn nearly enough😆. Is she like take that and pretending she's selling second hand cars?

Something somewhere is very fishy, and jack seems just like the type to do performative posts about paying nurses more while aggressively paying as little tax as possible. But that's just my opinion jack, don't come at me with your 100% liable success rate 🤣

I would absolutely love it if all the MPs offices sent an auto response asking thunderclappers to resend the email with URGENT and a deadline in the subject line if they actually wanted it to be looked at. ;)

If you do you're books correctly you have to show all of you're bank accounts or else if HMRC get wind you get fined.

Also of you have a high amount of savings you get taxed to tit. Hence why people get offshore accounts etc.

No headlines for her on breakfast news or calls for her to be awarded some title or other. Ooooo what a grotty mood she will be in, I mean how dare the whole world not be told about her jumping on the band wagon and claiming a # that she has to constantly explain. She toiled for 22hrs a day over this and only had eleventy dinosaur naps!
sorry I think being stuck in the house is getting to me

Create new email rule

All emails that contain the exact phrase, likely from an email template

Trigger an auto-reply - thanks for your query, I will look into bah bah

send all those emails to trash

MP never had to see especially when sent at 8pm.

Ofcourse she had to piggyback on the clap for carers time - I find 11am is a better time to annoy people with emails lol
