Just wanted to say that "The Golden Rule" by Amanda Craig - who got a lot of abuse last year for standing with JK Rowling - is 99p on Kindle today. in case anyone wanted to pick it up! I have, looking forward to reading it
Yes, I love the tv series. Tom Burke is great. Doesn’t look anything like Strike is described in the books but he nails it. Really looking forward to no.4I have finally finished the first book in the Strike series,The Cuckoo's Calling. I loved it! I'm looking forward to reading the next one. I have noticed there are 3 series of 'Strike' on Britbox, a tv adaptation. I'm going to watch the first one as that's what I have just read. Has anyone seen this series?
I’m slowly working my way through the first book (school holidays meant I had no uninterrupted time whatsoever for reading) and didn’t know the TV series was on Britbox, thanks!I have finally finished the first book in the Strike series,The Cuckoo's Calling. I have just finished the third book and can't wait to start the 4th. Haven't watched the series yet. I think they’re on BBC iplayer if you’re in the UK.I have just finished the third book and can't wait to start the 4th. Haven't watched the series yet. Not sure where to get it

From the first book it's clear JKR has a skill for description, you can really imagine the scene, the mood etc. I have also listened to The Casual Vacancy on Audible, that's good too but I have enjoyed the Strike book more as crime/intrigue is more interesting. The Strike books are excellent! The writing style is very similar to HP and there’s the same layering of stories and hidden clues that she’s so good at. Just obviously a very different subject. And more likeable protagonists!!
I looked the other day and course only see the most recent series on there, so only season 4 not 1-3I think they’re on BBC iplayer if you’re in the UK.
Britbox seems to have 1-3 but not 4, iplayer only has 4 but it expires soon I don't want to spoil the plots for the rest of the books yet so I'll watch them after each book and hope by the time I'm done with book 4 that the series will appear on Britbox. I have a subscription for Britbox though.I looked the other day and course only see the most recent series on there, so only season 4 not 1-3

If I was JK I would have asked for a clearer apology because it does look like Juan Mac is alluding to retweeting JK’s actual words.Well - she's trending tonight

Yeah... the 'ooh evil billionaire ooh hiss' doesn't work when you've done as much charity work to help people as Rowling has.

Well... maybe you should investigate before jumping onto a bandwagon
