It’s the most wonderful....ly expensive time of the year. (Sharing online deals/sales)

So it’s not quite Black Friday but we’ve spent 84 months in lockdown so shopping online seems to be the only way forward!

to help each other out,
If you find a bargain, have a discount code (obviously not one where you make a commission 🤨) know of an upcoming sale or special offer, know where’s the best place to order your Christmas food at good value 🤷‍♀️
Or you know of a flash sale over the next few weeks,

Post it here!
Basically if we can help each other save money this Christmas,
let’s do it!!!

YESSSS. I'm all for this thread! I love Black Friday, never ever step foot in shops during that week but online shopping is so fun.

I'm on the hunt to renew my iPhone contract - I've managed to get such bargains for the last 2 years over BF from different mobile providers so hoping to do so again this year. My current plan is unlimited everything, brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max and I only pay £30 a month! Would like the 12 Pro Max now, don't need it but if I can sell the 11 Pro while its still got most its value then I might as well.

It's a good time to buy Hard Drives!!

I can get a 1TB SSD for £73 right now
I've bought this week a 5TB external for £94

Not much use to most people here but I just had to mention it.

I keep an eye on Hard Drive prices all year around, when they drop, I buy.

OMG I will miss Black Friday so much this year. We usually go to Southport for a long weekend and do our Xmas shopping on the Friday, the over to Liverpool on the Saturday to finish it all off.

Anyway, Debenhams usually have fantastic bargains in each department, but I'm not sure what they'll do this year. John Lewis and M&S are pants and don't join in with Black Friday. The Perfume Shop currently have some great bargains (join their loyalty scheme because it's great). Hotel Chocolat is very expensive, but if you buy in bulk then it's worth it. Card Factory don't seem to have as much choice this year, but do sell stuff a lot cheaper than other shops.

Every year M&S and Waitrose do their Christmas food ie panettone, mince pies and boxes of biscuits half price it so good! I buy for presents but don’t know if they will do it this year?! Don’t suppose anyone has any insight?

I'm not impressed with Boots at the moment. I always buy their big Yankee Candle set for my mother-in-law without fail. It's always the 'star gift' at €35ish. It was out of stock for ages, listed as €36 (I think). Grand I thought, I'll wait for it to come back in stock. I checked today. It's in stock, fantastic! The bad news? They moved it out of their star gift category and raised the price to €65!

It looks like I'm not the only one who thinks this though, the comments of the product now having people asking the same questions lol.

I really hope they put it back on as a Star Gift :( €65 is steep!

Yankee Candles always have half price or buy one get one free sales on at this time of year, especially for Black Friday! They sell out really fast so as soon as the email hits, I would buy asap. We got LOADS last year, especially the after xmas stock. It usually reduces to 1/3 of the price.

If anyone is looking for Christmas bargains decorations etc have a look on George Asda website - I’ve bought plenty of items from there this year a lot cheaper than I thought I’d get them

I’m keeping my eye out for Nintendo Switch deals and bundles. I’m hoping there will be some good sales coming up because of the PS5 and Xbox series x coming out. Main places I’m looking at are Amazon, Smyths and Argos at the moment but haven’t seen anything especially eye catching yet.

Oh and my tumble dryer has packed up so i’m on the look out for some deals on those. Curries have some decent prices, not sure we can hold out for long though as our clothes just aren’t drying quick enough on the horse.

Does anyone know if Apple watches go into black Friday sales?
Not from Apple directly but Curry's and other third parties might reduce them especially if they still have stock of the older models such as the Series 4. Worth a look!

The Latest Deals app is quite good. Got some good deals on toys we're donating to our local women's refuge.

Also, don't forget to use cashback sites when shopping! Really does add up over time!!

If you have a Halifax account and do online banking, always worth checking on the cashback offers at the moment. You need to active the offers to get the cashback.

Sky: If you feel you are paying too much with Sky then its worth haggling. I managed to reduce my monthly bill from £90 to £36. Request a call back and say you cant afford it anymore and the woman I spoke to was fantastic.

Amazon: Noticed if you buy Amazon own products e.g Echo Dot, Echo Show or Ring doorbell. You can choose to pay in installments. I've just bought the Amazon Echo Show 8 and paying £18 a month for 5 months. You need to click on the installment option.

Topcashback.co.uk is another worthwhile site.

When you order online type into google promo codes for the shop you want to purchase from. I have saved a fair few quid by doing this.

Sometimes worth searching the hashtag for some products and companies to see if there any discount codes floating around that anyone has shared (usually an influencer but sometimes smaller accounts)

Not exactly of interest to anyone but Amazon are selling extra thick durex half price. 🤗

Got what I wanted, a 2TB SSD for my computer, £155 which is decent, the 1TB was £80.

Anyone else get a bargain?
