I really think this could all have run very smoothly if we knew in advance what was happening. As it was a lot of people thought the site had been hacked this morning. Maybe a bit of advance notice would be good if this is to happen in the future and also some discussion if the site is to be renamed...

Can I ask what the reason was for the migration in the first place? Server capacity? Safety? Design update? And if so will you still do it? Clearly it was important to you if you've tried it multiple times in the past months.

I have to say, fair play to the admins for changing back! Not everyone owns a fk up and I think it’s great.

These things are tricky, I think possibly like mentioned you could crowd source a lot of professionals in the right specialities to help if needed who would do it for the love of this place.

I thought the site had been hacked or maybe finally all the influencers had made good on their threats and the cops had seized the site LOL and I was not going to click on anything. I ended up finding a thread which gave me some clue as to what was going on.

Was part of a bigger plan to re-structure the whole site and have more forums to split threads up. There's so many arguments on threads because threads that are so different appear next to each other.
