It looks like Tattle have accepted new members, or dormant accounts are coming to the fore to try and force their opinions and arguments on this thread.

I know I’ll just be ignoring/reporting from now on. There are other spaces on this forum that may suit them better so perhaps if there’s no traction here that might be an option.

I am posting this again because I didn't get the chance to add I am hoping this is a show of good faith from Hamas, that they can see a light at the end of the tunnel. They know the talks are ongoing about Gaza and they want to take the hostages out of the discussion. If the hostages are back at home that can't be a sticking point for the negotiations.
They could also be appealing to the Arab world like saying look we are serious we will do all we can if you go in hard for us.

Thank you Daisychain for the new thread.

Netanyahu really doesn’t care about the hostages he’s having to be pushed at every stage.
LOL look at that the different reporting in Al Jazeera and Haaretz.

Al Jazeera says its Hamas.
Haaretz say its Trump.

Netanyahu never cared about the hostages or he would have had them all released when they did the initial hostage releases.

Tulkarem Deputy Governor Faisal Salama says the Israeli army is “working to reshape the features and geography of the Tulkarem camp through extensive demolition of Palestinian properties”.

Yes true. As the media report says, the hostages and the IDF were just a vehicle for him to gain power. Loss of life to him is care factor zero
Pure evil

Ok think about this logically - which also means being aware that correlation is not always causation

It is 500+ days since the hostages were taken.

Netanyahu and Hamas are still there. So the obvious question is why are Hamas making this proposal now?

What else has changed in the past month for Hamas to make it?

There's a new US President, Trump, what else?

Perhaps they thought they still have 73 hostages left, so might as well release them all instead of dragging this out. But then, that would mean giving up the leverage they've held on to for 500 days.

Perhaps it's a PR stunt - allowing them to present themselves as humanitarians or shifting the narrative in other ways.

That's what critical, unbiased, logical thinking is - thinking through all possibilities and looking for alternative explanations instead of "what do I want to believe?"

Perhaps Hamas has been given full assurance that the IDF will not re-start their genocidal aggression, and that there will be no ethnic cleansing, so they now feel secure enough to return the captives.

Sorry, I don't mean to take away from current events but thinking about the Palestinian Christian women who were sniped dead outside their church brought up a lot of memories from the past 18 months.

His name was Sha’ban al-Dalou, a 19-year-old software engineering student.

And he did not deserve this death:

Nobody deserves that death, and yet tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians suffered it. It's just this one was caught on camera.

Some days this nightmare feels more real than others. My heart is heavy at the moment and I don't want to forget about anyone who has suffered. I saw a beautiful toddler last night, only one arm left, still bright eyed and happy looking. So much loss, so much cruelty and in the name of what!??

I do think they must be feeling confident now about something, wonder if they have asked for the violence to stop in the West Bank also? Because that is clearly out of control.
Also if they give up the rest of the hostages at once they must be giving up on getting anymore Palestinian hostages back.

This is what gets me. I’ve said all along the big guys want to go and fight? Let them. Go into the desert and fight it out like men. But babies, children and innocent civilians? It’s just awful.

Israel has exposed itself to the world for what it really is. It can never go back to how it was, these scenes will never be forgotten.
Yup and the Israelis know this too. After reading Hamas talking about returning the rest of the hostages I am really feeling confident that things are moving in the right direction. I saw a story about fisherman repairing their boats and starting to fish again.

I read the other day the West Bank's ancient architecture is being lost and replaced by Israeli style buildings.

They are being bulldozed and the Palestinians are murdered for their land.

Did the Hague outlines get watered down so cases move so slow.
If a western country was being wiped off the face of the earth would rules be changed to speed the processing and the IJC given some teeth to give penalties to the attacker.

I forgot, the aggressor would be nuked to oblivion.

Also it seems Israel can murder Americans, British, Aussie etc etc aid workers and there is no consequences from their home governments towards Israel. They actually give them money and weapons.

The world won't forget. So many more people now know about what has been happening. This war has reminded me of the suffering of the Palestinians in the past and now enlightened me as to just how cruel humans can be. Never never would I have believed that a supposed disciplined and structured military the IOF could behave the way they have and still are, it's not over yet.
The social media that has been collected throughout is a source to remind us all of just what has happened and is happening. All those horrific images we have of the children its all recorded. We won't forget. ❤
