Is it a proper Apple charging lead you're using? My iPad doesn't like it if I try to use a "fake" apple lead in it, won't charge at all (even though my iPhone works perfectly fine with it). Has to be the proper Apple lead. Failing that, I'd take it to the Apple shop, they're normally super helpful!

So I bought myself a new iPad Air earlier this year, and for the second time it’s refusing to charge? I plug it in and it just won’t register the cable. I’ve unplugged, blown in the iPad and plug ends incase of dirt, tried different sockets etc…

the last time this happened there was an update, but I couldn’t do the update as it was less than 50% battery and it didn’t register it was plugged in to a charger. So I’ve checked again this time and again there’s an update, so I think the updates might be causing the problems.

Tried googling but couldn’t find much info, the only advice I could find was forcing soft restarts a few times and fiddling with battery settings, and it suddenly started working again, so I may try that. But just wondering If anyone else has the same issues with updates causing technical charging issues?

Yeah it is, it’s the one that came with the iPad!
Thanks everyone for your help, it is charging again after multiple soft resets, I don’t live near an apple store so it’s a bit tricky to get to, was just wanting to see if anyone else was having issues! Thanks again 😄

my iPhone is also playing up though, Apple Music keeps crashing?? At this point I think it’s just apple lol maybe I need to change brands 🧐
