Still smoking outside in ass-cold temperatures so I’m going to type this as quickly as I can before my fingers break off, but honest opinion about cameo to Joyce:
I liked it. I like it if we lived in a universe where she caused absolutely NONE of that chaos she had been causing—I have to keep in mind that this is a non-divisible component to who Alice is and the reality of the situation, I know, but this particular cameo was rather nice.
I can’t help but think celebs who do this usually seat themselves at a desk or on a couch or something and speak, but Alice walked around, and perhaps that’s “unprofessional” or “lazy”-seeming, but I liked the candidness of it. It wasn’t like the previous video where she had us all up in her face and she was swinging the camera all over, all round the yard.
I appreciated her warmth when beginning her message, talking about how long it has been. “Time flies. But you don’t want time to fly; you don’t want to get further away from that person.” That remark was meaningful to me, honestly, because I do agree with it at times. She seemed very truthful in that cameo, very warm. I didn’t watch the last 3 secs so I hope she didn’t like diss Bianca or scream at one of her kids, but I’ll say just this:
I appreciated her demeanor in this video. She was even-toned and thoughtful, and I guess it’s worth the price, if you’re a fan of hers.
One thing that makes me a little concerned, however, is that she’s at risk of being “too personal” with the fans she has come to know for a while. Watching this cameo, I noticed how close Alice came to maybe making a comment about Joyce’s personal life, and albeit warmed, I was also still a little surprised that she stated that they haven’t interacted much in a long time, just because that seems like something you should hear privately from the other person, so I hope she doesn’t delve so deeply with her cameos for people she recognizes that she winds up disclosing bits of info that might not be appropriate on a public platform.
I personally think she’s trying just a tiny bit harder, and people may disagree, and I welcome and accept those opinions and uplift those people, but in that one cameo, at least, I’m settled a bit more. I do have to re-factor in her unacceptable behaviors, of course, because nice cameos don’t excuse egregious actions, but once again, if you were to ask me what I thought of that cameo and nothing else, I’d say I liked it.
