I think in a world of over sharing these insta huns should be proud of what they believe in rather than being ambiguous just to save some followers. Let’s be honest I reckon a load of them vote Tory but it just doesn’t fit with the insta hun image. 🌹 over hear

Been thinking the same thing - though I shouldn't be surprised given her lifestyle (pretty sure her kitchen reno included a £5k cooker!)
I’ve got a 5k cooker and guess who I didn’t vote for!

No one actually knows what people vote, that’s between them and the ballot box. I very much doubt the children of millionaires voted labour, despite what their insta profiles would suggest....wouldn’t want to do too much damage to their massive inheritance.....

Of course all the insta huns votes Tory. These are people who tell us when they’ve got their period - so they are not adverse to sharing private info. They know that voting Tory doesn’t align with their on line image of ‘being kind’

Luludumas was her vapid shallow self yesterday. Giggling at the camera to the tune of ‘not talking about voting, too depressing so let’s talk about expensive shoes’

Completely highlights the privileged world they live in. They don’t give a toss about anyone less fortunate that themselves

Good for you 👏
I can’t tell if you’re being facetious or not. My point is that this portrayal of all Conservatives voters fitting in a particular box drives me mad. My husband and I employ 40 people full-time. We pay corporation tax/PAYE/National Insurance. We both volunteer and we certainly care about other people.

Difference is that you are happy to share that. I don’t agree with your political stance but I respect that you own your choices and decisions

I struggle with the instamums who are shameless is sharing intimate details of their lives, including their children and yet seem coy about their political choices.

The reality is is that there is a perception of the type of person who votes Tory. I suspect that the instamums choose to hide their choice as they know it could impact on their sales.

Its a good reminder that everything they post is driven by selling you stuff. They don’t share stuff out of the goodness of their (likely Tory) hearts 😉

I agree with your point re the hard selling, there is a Strategy behind every single one of their carefully curated posts. To me they (Mumfluencers etc) all seem to be Labour supporters. I have unfollowed quite a few who basically said “all Tories are inherently bad”. They obviously mean me... therefore I won’t follow them or buy their products!

The stereotypes portrayed from both sides of the political argument are unhelpful.

I just find it ironic not influencers let's face it are greedy narcissistic liars who are then saying the same about Boris.
Many live in London/South East or more prosperous cities.
Many live in fairly affluent areas.
Hardly any if them can connect with welsh/northern or midlands labour voters.
They can't empathise with living in substandard housing or going to a foodbank.
So many get paid advertising charities
Accept freebies things they can afford to buy themselves.
Socialise very small cliques circles like the London mamas.
Not many are disabled or have children with special needs.
Many sell on gifted items
Daily weekly flaunt their perfect homes and many holidays.

It's laughable they claim to support labour for people they know nothing about.
My mp is still labour reduced majority.
I'm going to try approach her about labour bringing in greater privacy rules for children of influencers into thier manifestos and cross party groups and see who they urge everyone to vote in 5 years time when the damage will be apparent as some kids will be all grown up and angry.

I actually can't cope with Farrah Kathleen (formerly somethingrosier) anymore! Every single story is about how much she hates Tories & how if you're Tory you're scum. She's even saying she's cut off family & friends if they didn't vote Labour. She's becoming very nasty & bitter. Not that she was much better before the election! It's just constant!

That’s a really sad choice to make. To be so intolerant of other people’s views must be exhausting!

What baffles me with these people is their apparent lack of understanding as to why people in northern, ex mining towns, just like the one I was born and bred and still live in can vote Tory! These people swan around London without the tiniest idea of what is going on in villages like ours, how we’re forgotten and have been forgotten for decades - we’ve been ignored since before thatcher, before Blair, during Blair and ever since. The North voted for a change, whether rightly or wrongly it’s voice was heard loud and clear for once. It wanted change. So, people like Farrah can stick her opinions as far up her ‘never left the south’ hole as she can get it and duck off. I will be told by no-one who to use my vote to support.

I didn't vote Tory but I don't judge anyone who did. I have close friends who did. To shame your friends & family because of a difference of political opinion is ridiculous! A vote is a vote. You choose who you feel, personally, is the right one for the job. Many people will disagree with me voting Labour but tough luck really 🤷🏻‍♀️

Glad someone mentioned Elle from Feathering the Empty Nest. The ABSOLUTE vacuous privilege on those stories. Her dad does the exit polls too so politics is a big thing in her family. She just didn’t like reading the many labour supporters saying tories are heartless and uncaring. If she’d voted labour it wouldn’t bother her.
Her and Carol with their posh SUVs and Boden uniform, might as well be the Tory starter pack

I saw Amber from Love Island tweeted quite a bit about voting Labour, which I was surprised by. Not sure about anyone else.

‘Tory starter pack’ is very apt. Suspect they are more than entry level Tories though - you’ve got hunter wellies and floral arrangement workshops as standard. Pretty sure they are experienced Tory’s 😀

I live in the north and have voted Tory in the past because Labour have often been very complacent here. If you have a Labour-run council running your town/city ineffectively then of course you’re going to want to add some different voices to the mix such as Lib Dem’s or Conservatives. I’m sure I’d feel the same if I lived in a Conservative constituency in the south. To attack people for doing this is ridiculous. I noticed Susie Verrill doing this (something about as long as your kids aren’t tories...) it makes me laugh cos kids often rebel against parents forcing their political opinions on them.

Only just seen this thread but Elle from Feathering The Empty Nest is a Tory supporter. Absolutely not a doubt in my mind. I'm sure her dad is a former Conservative local councillor - she revealed that little nugget ages ago on her stories IIRC.

I didn't see the comment but it is totally laughable that she is claiming she didn't know who to vote for until three days before the election. Laughable and completely disingenuous.

Not sure how she would have voted on Brexit though with her husband being a trader.
