It drives me insane that all the instahuns are out in force pushing their views on people....by all means encourage people to vote, signpost them to websites that give information on all the main parties but don’t push your views on others in such dramatic fashion. I mean the world won’t end no matter what party gets in, despite what you’d like you followers to think....suppose it makes a change from them all flogging their overpriced supposedly sustainable shite or crap recipe e-guides🙄
I wholeheartedly disagree. Making a statement and standing for what you believe in, which ever way you swing, is never, ever a bad thing.

Of course all the insta huns votes Tory. These are people who tell us when they’ve got their period - so they are not adverse to sharing private info. They know that voting Tory doesn’t align with their on line image of ‘being kind’

Luludumas was her vapid shallow self yesterday. Giggling at the camera to the tune of ‘not talking about voting, too depressing so let’s talk about expensive shoes’

Completely highlights the privileged world they live in. They don’t give a toss about anyone less fortunate that themselves

And some of the posts today show exactly why Instagram shouldn’t be a political forum. Calling your followers c***s because their political affiliations differ from yours?! Keep it classy ladies 🙄

Interesting that only the Labour supporters are the ones harping on about voting labour. Anyone actually seen an influencer stand up as Tory?

I just find it ironic not influencers let's face it are greedy narcissistic liars who are then saying the same about Boris.
Many live in London/South East or more prosperous cities.
Many live in fairly affluent areas.
Hardly any if them can connect with welsh/northern or midlands labour voters.
They can't empathise with living in substandard housing or going to a foodbank.
So many get paid advertising charities
Accept freebies things they can afford to buy themselves.
Socialise very small cliques circles like the London mamas.
Not many are disabled or have children with special needs.
Many sell on gifted items
Daily weekly flaunt their perfect homes and many holidays.

It's laughable they claim to support labour for people they know nothing about.
My mp is still labour reduced majority.
I'm going to try approach her about labour bringing in greater privacy rules for children of influencers into thier manifestos and cross party groups and see who they urge everyone to vote in 5 years time when the damage will be apparent as some kids will be all grown up and angry.

Good for you 👏
I can’t tell if you’re being facetious or not. My point is that this portrayal of all Conservatives voters fitting in a particular box drives me mad. My husband and I employ 40 people full-time. We pay corporation tax/PAYE/National Insurance. We both volunteer and we certainly care about other people.

No! They’re obviously well aware of how selfish voting Tory is so don’t want to out themselves.

What baffles me with these people is their apparent lack of understanding as to why people in northern, ex mining towns, just like the one I was born and bred and still live in can vote Tory! These people swan around London without the tiniest idea of what is going on in villages like ours, how we’re forgotten and have been forgotten for decades - we’ve been ignored since before thatcher, before Blair, during Blair and ever since. The North voted for a change, whether rightly or wrongly it’s voice was heard loud and clear for once. It wanted change. So, people like Farrah can stick her opinions as far up her ‘never left the south’ arsehole as she can get it and fuck off. I will be told by no-one who to use my vote to support.

No one actually knows what people vote, that’s between them and the ballot box. I very much doubt the children of millionaires voted labour, despite what their insta profiles would suggest....wouldn’t want to do too much damage to their massive inheritance.....

Difference is that you are happy to share that. I don’t agree with your political stance but I respect that you own your choices and decisions

I struggle with the instamums who are shameless is sharing intimate details of their lives, including their children and yet seem coy about their political choices.

The reality is is that there is a perception of the type of person who votes Tory. I suspect that the instamums choose to hide their choice as they know it could impact on their sales.

Its a good reminder that everything they post is driven by selling you stuff. They don’t share stuff out of the goodness of their (likely Tory) hearts 😉

Making a statement is one thing and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, only posting facts that picture a political party in a certain way and then encouraging people to vote for a party based only on what they are quoting is bordering on irresponsible. Judging by the numbers who are willing to part with their cash for the tat they normally peddle there are plenty of easily influenced people out there. I’d hate to think that someone voted a certain way because xx influencer said they should or told them that xx would happen if they voted a certain way rather than because they agree with a policies or what a party stands for. Encouraging people to have an interest in politics can only be a good thing, encourage people to vote also a good thing, using your platform for this I can get behind, talking about your political persuasion and why you feel this way by all means but some of the shite I’ve read in the last few days quite frankly wouldn’t be out of place in the Daily Mail and thats what annoys me

I am actually sick of influencers banging on about the election. I know it is important but god, sometimes there can be too much. And some aren't even researching before they post shit and sharing "fake" news. I have had to mute so many.

Glad someone mentioned Elle from Feathering the Empty Nest. The ABSOLUTE vacuous privilege on those stories. Her dad does the exit polls too so politics is a big thing in her family. She just didn’t like reading the many labour supporters saying tories are heartless and uncaring. If she’d voted labour it wouldn’t bother her.
Her and Carol with their posh SUVs and Boden uniform, might as well be the Tory starter pack

I didn't vote Tory but I don't judge anyone who did. I have close friends who did. To shame your friends & family because of a difference of political opinion is ridiculous! A vote is a vote. You choose who you feel, personally, is the right one for the job. Many people will disagree with me voting Labour but tough luck really 🤷🏻‍♀️

I unfollowed anyone who INSTRUCTED me to vote labour. Let everyone know who you want to vote for, by all means, but everyone is free to make their own decisions. I would have also unfollowed anyone who instructed me to vote Tory, but didn’t see any of this on the instahuns (btw if everyone who said they were going to vote labour, did, then they would be in power... the instahuns jumped on the bandwagon for likes, IMO, then went and voted differently)

‘Tory starter pack’ is very apt. Suspect they are more than entry level Tories though - you’ve got hunter wellies and floral arrangement workshops as standard. Pretty sure they are experienced Tory’s 😀

What influencers don't seem to understand is the way people vote can sometimes be influenced by the way life looks for most.
They seem oblivious to normal people's lives.
As in frozen wages
No holidays
No constant gifts/free days out or house renovations.
It's clear that social media fooled some.
But despite having a conservative government for last 9 years many areas had always had Labour mps and their lives and their area never got any better.
Some voted for a change
Some voted as felt Labour wasnt listening to leave areas and their policy around Europe.
Labour is full of champagne socialists who don't practice what they speech they equally happy to send their kids to private schools.
Many of them attended good schools and universities themselves.

Yes it’s irresponsible to post questionable ‘facts’ but ultimately that is social media nowadays. They are just contributing to the huge screaming march , and I know they may have louder voices than average it’s still generally better than complacency and silence. I’ve got the 2016 referendum in mind , when politics still seemed business as usual and people like zalfie barely seemed aware it was happening. Only after the surprise result did they wake up, and pissed me off - especially if it was because they didn’t even vote and then regretted it.
