“Influencers” and Covid-19

I don't know if anyone saw this but the ivy Chelsea garden held an influencer event...on Thursday before anything was supposed to be legally open. Of course greedy, selfish, soppy influencers attended this, all sitting in there together after travelling on public transport. Sitting inside. Which wasn't allowed before today. The ivy had also set up a new display and every soppy influencer is sitting on it, touching it, there with their friends, passing phones back and forth, preening themselves with their crappy hands, spreading disease. I know life is going back to normal but this is utterly deplorable! All for their crappy little pictures. I'm so cross

I generally like her but I agree that sometimes she is annoyingly blasé about the money she is spending...”couldn’t sleep so ended up doing a big Charlotte Tilbury order” etc etc...I understand her boyfriend is on a good wage but as mentioned she has made out she’s got to the position she is now entirely on her own merit. She posted the other night that she was expensive-swimsuit shopping for a holiday she might not even take and when someone DMed her about it being flippant/blasé etc she had a rant...
I really liked her because she would talk about stuff other influencers didnt (eg politics etc) however she is very thin skinned! The smallest thing she will have a cry about on insta saying she is getting mean messages.

its part of the package rubes. not everyone will applaud you for soending £300 on make up cause you couldn’t sleep

It'll be interesting to see who distances themselves from Boohoo and similar places with all the scandal about unpaid workers.

A lot seem to be on holiday now, heading to other countries and getting their hair done immediately. I mean I know we technically can but then they seem to be back to normal while the rest of us are still constrained.

I admit I bought a couple of things from Boohoo before the news came out, I feel disgusted with myself, and I'm not even an influencer shilling them. I have definitely woken up to the horrors of Boohoo, PLT etc.

I don't think you should be that hard on yourself - lots of people were taken in. At least now you know, and you learn from it. Best possible outcome!

I like her too! Generally overall, but she is very privileged

Re Ruby Holley - her and Sam have been on insta today hugging her sister and nephew. I’m sure that’s not quite allowed yet!? Wonder how long until someone says something to her and she gets riled up and deletes the stories 🧐

She might not get a lot of backlash considering out of all the influencers I follow she’s appeared to follow social distancing rules the most. There’s people on holiday socialising with strangers after travelling, influencers who have been to illegal raves and parties every weekend. Not defending her but she really is not bad in comparison to others. It will be fine as well if her and Sam have been socially distancing and her sisters family. It’s safer than a sweaty bar or pub by far.

Helen Anderson - hold on this is going to be a long one 🤣

During lockdown she threw a Download festival at home for a bunch of her mates, they posted their lack of social distancing on their social media.

Films herself doing boot camp and says they’re exercising in groups of 10 and also films herself inside the gym with a group of people.

She goes shopping without her (gifted) mask and when called out for it she first said that no one else is wearing one, then said you don’t have to wear it everywhere, then after receiving a bunch of backlash for it she says in her vlog that there’s “no excuse not to wear one ever“... but then immediately makes an excuse.

She admitted in a couple of videos that she never washes her hands after going to the toilet, and shows herself in her vlogs going shopping, picking her nose (a lot) and touching so many things without intention of buying them. (She says picking her nose is her favourite hobby)

Then she had a rant about people going to hairdressers during lockdown while people were still dying, shortly after she ended up having her nieces stay over - dyed one girl’s hair and then gave the other one a make over and put false lashes on her. Goes to the hairdressers to get her own hair done (says she wasn’t bothered at getting it done at all anyway, but only got it done because her hairdresser randomly messaged her and asked if she wanted an appointment- apparently London hairdressers struggling for clientele, who would have thought?), still doesn’t wear her (gifted) mask, also films herself putting her fingers in her mouth while she’s there.

🤢🤢🤢

I do. I know her whole family in fact (but I wouldn’t say we’re friends). Her Dad’s side of the family is quite rich, and most of them are really snobby. Her Mum is lovely, her half sister is nice but also thinks she’s something special (used to work at GLAMOUR, then Vogue, married to a rich man who is a broker in the city).

The job she had briefing journalists directly out of uni was at her Uncle’s company, so nepotism. His company is actually quite cool as they run the security side of things for journalists going into war zones and etc, and whilst she’s an intelligent girl, the Uncle connection swung it.

She’s lost touch with reality thanks to her boyfriend’s salary (£2m a year) and now her insta following. I find her account really bleeping dull.
She and Jo (sister) have got entitled running through them like a stick of rock!

I was having a nose at her on social blade and looks like YouTube have removed thousands of her views. She definetly buys views, subs, followers. There is no way someone as bland as her can get that many views or followers

she’s went on holiday to Ibiza, soon as the quarantine rules have come into force she’s moved onto santorini, anything to avoid to quarantine for 14 days

tbf she had been following the rules well, now she’s just like the rest of them

She’ll throw you under the bus at any given moment too! So If your so called ‘friends’ with her I’d watch your back!

I used to really like chloe and still do, had to stop unfollowing though a few weeks ago when she posted loads of stories about child safety etc and said she was now more mindful about what she puts online of her kids. Then not even a day later an ad for the ice co and then pics and stories with all the kids in swimming costumes 🤦‍♀️ I just don’t understand the appeal of plastering your kids online for the sake of some free squash or a free Iceland shop but each to their own

And to add the irony is Chloe is the main reason I ended up on tattle. I can’t remember who it was that was one at the time but chloe shared her support when the petition to get it closed originally was shared and it led me here 😂
