I hope it’s ok to post this (and that it’s in the right place!). I did a search and can see this account has been mentioned in lots of different influencer’s threads but I thought a more central discussion would be interesting.

so someone has set up an account on Instagram where influencers DM examples of what they get paid.
What I found interesting was some of the comments like “I didn’t accept this, just an example to see how badly I was lowballed” and it’s like make a few posts, do a few stories for £10k. Wow.

I think it’s really eye opening how many have smallish accounts of 20-30k followers and they feel £300 to post something to their grid is insufficient payment?! Crazy!
Edited to add: I think it was set up to discover if skin colour was affecting pay but there are lots of comments from people saying they’re white and feel lowballed.

Just checked this out, interesting, the post from somebody who used to work at an agency is interesting explaining how the pricing structure works depending on what brands are after. "While I believe there is an issue with pay disparity, I still always urge influencers to understand the brand side and assure that you always end up giving them value. My fears is if we don't we will see a decline in the industry"

Hey! First post here because I'm usually just lurking. Anyone has an idea of the influencer who exploited her black worker (who ended up in the hospital for stress)?
