If you won millions of pounds on the lottery, what would you spend it on?

I love talking about this with people so want to hear Tattlers thoughts..

If you won a ridiculous amount on the lottery, what would you spend it on?

I’m talking money no object, say something stupid like £100 million.

I’m a jewellery girl so I think that’d be my first big purchase, some serious diamonds from a certain turquoise jewellery house.

Then cars. I’d have a run around, something like one of those modified sporty Fiat 500s. A big comfy 4x4, and a sports car. Aston Martin I think😂

House wise I’d definitely trade up, but I don’t think I’d leave the city where I grew up. I’d pay off my families mortgages and/or gift them deposits for new houses.

Then, some serious holidays. I’ve never done a tropical desert island, so somewhere like Mauritius or Mustique. I’d visit more places in the USA, and buy holiday homes in Italy and Iceland. I’d give my family money for their dream holidays.

I wouldn’t keep my job but I’d donate to charities related to my work I think, plus other important causes. Turtle Creek Lane on insta doesn’t seem to need a job to keep busy, so I reckon I’d be fine too 😂

I would also spend soooo much money on beauty treatments. Nails done every couple of weeks, and laser hair removal so I never have to pick up a razor again.

Excited to see what others would do 😂

I'd buy a house so I had somewhere permanent to live, nothing too expensive but somewhere with a pool because I've loved swimming a lot recently (before lockdown) and miss it

I'd go travelling because we only have one chance to

I'd pay off my debts

Get a breast reduction

And invest the rest for the future

I fantasise about this all the time! One of the things I get really happy thinking about is the people I’d like to spoil. I’d pay off my cousins mortgage and I’d buy my brother a house. I’d be more excited doing that than anything I would buy for myself. I would also get some satisfaction out of not giving anything to people who’ve really crossed me but would no doubt still expect something!

But...I have thought about that too and I would keep my current house but I’d buy lovely houses or apartments overlooking the river in Bristol and London, a place in Cornwall, would love one in NYC and Sydney too. I’d have a fleet of Audi’s and Mercedes, some plastic surgery, lots of holidays. Oh...if only!

I'd have a long holiday somewhere exotic first to think about how I was going to spend my winnings.
When I got home, first thing I'd do is move house. Far far away from sodding relatives!

I’d buy my dream house, plus a holiday house by the sea. I’d treat ourselves to a couple of nice cars. I’d make sure my family were all secure. And then we’d have a nice holiday somewhere, but also take a nanny to help occupy the kids.
I’m not a jewellery, handbag or shoes kinda person so no way I’d blow it on that!

I would....
*buy a tiny cabin house in the Lofoten Islands
*buy a cottage in the Peak District
*buy a pub in the peak district
*build a small touring caravan site behind the pub
*i would give 20 million to my sister, 20 million to my sister in law fund my mum and dads existence
*10 million to my friend
*buy a winnibago
*i would pick 50 couples from a list of applicants and fund their fertility treatment until they each had the baby they desired.
*i would grow my own fruit/veg

Husband and I occasionally have this daydream discussion!

We both agree we would tell no one - we wouldn't want our relationships to change because of it.

We would quit our jobs and buy a medium/large but normal house where we currently live - just a nice family home to grow into. I would go back into education and train to do something with criminology.

We would have some amazing holidays, probably starting with a trip round America.

We would do nice things for our families like taking them on holidays etc but we probably wouldn't ever share how much we had won - just that it was enough to be confortable without working again. (This may sounds harsh but my family are very irresponsible with money and would 100% expect me to bankroll them for life no matter what they requested!)

I would buy my dream house, go on a tour around the world something like around the world in 80 days lol. I would pay off my family's mortgages and buy a holiday house by the sea in England and some nice holiday house abroad.

This is very sensible!

I’d duck off, never to be seen again. And I’d tell no one about it, let them guess.

Obviously I’d have to take my husband and children... 🙄

First thing I'd do is take my family away somewhere nice so I can ponder what to spend my money on whilst relaxing on a nice beach haha.

I'd sort my parents out financially, they deserve the world & more so I'd make sure they had a nice house, a holiday home, new cars & enough money to retire & live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

I'd buy my brother a house & a car, probably give him a lumpsum too or work out a way to make sure he's comfortable for the rest of his life.

I'd help out my grandparents in whatever way they wanted & also keep some aside so in the future if needed they could have the very best care.

I'd buy a house in Cornwall & probably live there, I'd also love to convert barns & farm houses & have a little tea room. I'd travel the world & decide where I want a holiday home. I'd buy myself a chanel bag & rock up looking like I shouldnt be there (I have a thing about this since being looked down on in Louis vuitton lol) & pay for it all in cash like yeah I can afford it you snob.

I'd donate money to where I work, maybe give a bit to some work colleagues but in a way that they wouldn't necessarily know it was me. Haven't decided about other family members yet perhaps just a set amount each & that's your lot (not in a greedy way but being me I can't leave out family members that I'm not that close to/fond of even though I wish I could be more selfish I just don't think I could with millions in the bank).

I'd donate lots of money to stroke charities, cancer charities, the hospice my grandad passed away in, children's hospices & I'm stealing the idea for funding fertility treatment because I just love that idea.

I better get a lottery ticket this week, I've spent far too much time thinking that through 😂 hey ho, if anything I should have a good dream tonight before being rudely awakened for another day at work.

I think about this topic way too much! During uni, I would fall asleep thinking of different scenarios and how I would tell my parents haha.

I would:
- Buy 10 acres of land and build my own house on it - swimming pool, gym, horses and stables etc. A proper entertaining house!
- Gift my best friend a house - invest in her dream of owning a business of her own. She's been dealt a crappy hand in life and in the parents department.
- Gift my parents 5 million each and also my aunty who is the most kindest person I have ever met in my life.
- Gift my siblings whatever they wanted but maybe not too much as they're at the age where they'll happily rot away on their gaming consoles.
- All expense paid holiday with my closest every year or maybe multiple times
- I like to think I would still work voluntarily in the Mental Health sector and really shovel funding in there and hopefully change peoples lives for the better. I would also support women's shelters, domestic abuse and sexual assault charities as well as Autism awareness.
- Buy my realistic dream car which has always been a Range Rover Sport OR an Audi Q8 or Maserati SUV but also an unrealistic sports car which would be an Aston Martin (Just to stunt when I know I'll have to see someone I do not like)
- Before I do all the above, I will be having the BIGGEST shopping spree online as soon as the money drops in my account!!

I'm not sure if I would tell my extended family how much I won but if I'm driving around in Aston Martins and building a dream house with no expense spared, they might have an inkling :ROFLMAO: I would help in anyway I can but maybe be sure I'm not being taken advantage of, I'll let my parents deal with that aspect though.

Invest most of it so I can continuously support me and my family and spoil us with some, and give a portion to my favourite causes.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn’t go public but I’d help out my family and make sure they’re well taken care of. I also wouldn’t become someone’s cash cow (I have family members who would probably try that tit). I’d buy a nice house, nothing too big but enough space so that my husband and I could have more children. I would donate to charities and causes close to my heart, and would be able to get my autistic son the best supports available. I would spoil my children rotten and travel the world with my family and just enjoy life, safe in the knowledge that at least we would never have to worry about money again.

I would buy a big country house that is divided into two parts, with land for a riding for the handicapped place and also enough to spare for stray animals. Also build a couple of holiday cottages .I would have my daughter and son in law to live there too and they could run the business since they have been out of work so long.:(

I don’t think I’d do too much more maybe a slightly bigger house with land around it
Money for my daughter in the future probably via investments
I’d throw some money at a few IVF cycles and if that didn’t work pay privately to get a hyster (Endo - although this is not a cure)
Definitely give money to charity - BUT must be the charities who do not get Gov funding - was the ones were people are working tireless to try and get some money in to help - where it would make a massive difference
And one indulgence for me - i would buy myself a Chloe handbag and a Tiffany’s ring (just a 5k one)
