Method make a marble and granite cleaner. I would probably try that, but beyond that I have no specialist knowledge.

Definitely don’t use vinegar or anything acidic. Be careful not to use anything abrasive as it will scratch easily. Do you know what kind of marble it is?

Some time ago I bought a marble table top. It's inlaid with birds, flowers, etc. and it's beautiful. However, it currently doesn't look so good because I'm not cleaning it properly. When I bought it the vendor advised just wiping down with a damp cloth, which I've been doing. Now it has some kind of film that I can't budge. I've tried white vinegar and I've tried warm soapy (dish soap) water but if anything it looks worse.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance. :)

You could try the HG marble cleaner. It’s quite effective at removing food stains, perhaps it will get rid of the film too.
