False positives are pretty rare as you need the hCG in your body for it to detect pregnancy. Often a chemical pregnancy can be mistaken for a false positive if testing very early, as you
were pregnant, but then you go on to have what seems like a period, so some women often think the test was wrong but actually they were pregnant but had a very, very early miscarriage (I looked into this a lot when I couldn’t believe my own tests!). I would take this as 100% positive! Congratulations!
