Mel B - I think giving her an honor is pretty gross. Yes the husband is a sick b@stard and any man who hits a woman is scum. But she's an unsavoury individual too I think and a bad figurehead for domestic violence. I don't believe that she was "coerced" into the sex tapes. Plus the two of them hiring an 18 yr old as a "nanny/sex partner" is seedy and disgusting. Apparently a rampant coke user too
I watched the cyclists who've been made Sir and Dame say that they were surprised for being given awards for riding bikes

I don’t believe she was asking for it or deserved her abuse as you seem to imply. No woman deserves to be treated like that no matter what her sex life Is like.
her honour has been awarded for the work she did to support a domestic abuse charity, not for her personal life.
Tom Daley? For jumping off a plank into water and being gay? Do me a favour.
I never implied she deserved her abuse. I just think she's a poor role model and figurehead for domestic violence. She has come across to me as someone who is quite economical with the truth. She raises red flags for me and if I ran a charity and she approached looking to be a figurehead, she is not someone I would want representing it.
Tony Blair deserves a prison sentence, not not a Knighthood. It just goes to prove how ridiculous the honours system has become.
The whole thing is a meaningless tank. In fact the whole monarchy is a joke. I can’t believe that in this day and age we still have a rich family who live off our taxes and idiots go and stand there gawping watching them walk past and wave flags at them and tit. All they did to be adored was get born into a rich family. Why do we need them? Why do they live in big palaces and we are all meant to worship them while we all live in our average houses? It’s all bullshit.
Therefore it’s not surprising that the ‘honours’ are bullshit. It’s all PR nonsense.

I tend to agree. I used to follow and enjoy the Royal Family and in fact I do like certain members, but as I got older and wiser I've long seen through the bullshit and spin (including around William and Kate). I get that they attract tourism and international interest but if we became a Republic, the interest from tourists would still be there to visit the palaces, learn about their history etc.
