'We're aware of and humbled by the negative feedback our presence at Westminster Hall has received. We're really sorry that we did take advantage of the circumstances and want to assure people that we've listened and taken on board what has been said. In future, we will think very carefully about our responsibilities in the entertainment industry and act more appropriately.'

Easy.
Owning the situation, rather than implying it wasn't what it was or suggesting 'We wos made to do it!'.

We queued overnight, we’d been in the queue since 12am Friday & we went in around the time they waltzed in. So we’d waited 13 hours.
She was wearing heels, how very nice for her. Everyone else was in trainers to survive the 10 mile walk.
There were people in that queue who had really suffered, it was hard to keep everyone motivated at times. I think that’s what’s made me & so many angry, there was no need for them to be there. To then hear them both say it was the most profound moments of their lives tipped me over the edge.
I really do not think they understand or grasp what people went through to get to have their profound moment.

I worked on the Big Breakfast when it was johnny Vaughan ( an extremely unpleasant man ) and Denise she was lovely,anyway,Holly was a runner then and we had a few young runners doing the menial jobs, but extremely important jobs to help the show run well. Now holly was a child of a pushy mother and she admitted she was looking for a man who had power and clout she chased her husband Dan like a love sick fool now Dan isn’t the best looking but he had status on the show and she had a few admirers who were lovely ….but sadly not the job she wanted her future husband to be in so I can promise you that she is a social climber who has made it fronting a popular program due to who she has married and I also have it on good authority she is now more extremely unpleasant than she was before. She is an awful fake woman and the giggling is for the viewers sake to give this “ I’m so happy and I’m such a ball of sparkling puff” and as for him he is a predator and I pray that they get dumped from the show !!!!!! Honestly this is a true story and I’m waiting for a runners book to be published about the pair of them oh and btw the swollen eyes were the after effects of too much sauce the night before and told the MUA not to hide them for some extra clout

Cleverly worded to make it sound like they are in the same league as accredited broadcasters & journalists. They are not they present a light morning tv show. And most of the time are at best mediocre. They had no business there in the capacity of serious journalists ..

The thing that I find laughable is that Phil and Holly obviously consider themselves 'VIP's'. His claim to fame is working with a sock puppet and she's a vacuous clothes-horse who can just about read an autocue. What on EARTH makes them think they are 'very important'? Do they honestly believe Britain would come to a grinding-halt if they didn't present their daytime tv show? Trust me, it wouldn't.
