I get hives from synthetic food ingredients. I haven’t experienced them since cleaning my diet out.

Oh my Son has had a bout like this! He was covered in hives and his lips had swollen. Suspected allergic reaction but zero idea to what!

Does anyone else suffer from angioedema?
I got it for the first time in 2018 randomly without a known trigger. It my my lips swelling to comical size. Taking it in turns to be the top lip, then the bottom one. On and off for about a week. Also, I had joint pain and itchy hives in random places on my skin.
Doctor told me it was angioedema and sometimes there is no known cause it can be totally random.
I’ve no known allergies!
Recently it’s started up again. My bottom lip blew up about 2 or 3 weeks ago just sitting watching telly one evening.
And now I am again covered in patches of itchy hives. Mostly on both my hips, back and shoulders.
no know cause again.

How old is he?
I was 29 when this first got me, back in 2018. It’s shit. And embarrassing with lips swollen in public cos people love to stare!
My doctor was shit and just told me what it was but couldn’t identify the cause or reaction and said “it can even be random fumes from outside”

He was only 3 or 4 when it happened! It was scary. It lasted 2/3 days for it to completely settle. He has very sensitive skin anyway so we thought maybe something aggitated him but no idea what! Ended up at a&e when his face was swelling but piriton and a cool flannel on the hives was all we could do!
