Would you try a pharmacy? It could be a sinus issue? I would try that first and then go to GP if it continues. Keep record of your headaches and any medication you've already tried so you can bring it up at GP.
I’m not sure where you are but most GP appointments are over the phone these days which may suit you.

Also agree with above re contraceptives they could be causing it.

It understand it’s difficult for you but to u won’t know without contacting the GP and you deserve to be able to put your mind at rest

I’ve just been mentioning this in the covid thread (not covid related). I’ve had headaches most of my life, I’ve had MRIs and all the tests and basically it’s tension.

I have bad eyesight and get tested often but I know I clench my jaw at night and my shoulders sometimes too.

I find cooling patching or those reusable cooling eye masks great. I’ve also just ordered the roll on the cool patch people make. I’ve been recorded 4head and a lavender destressing balm too, not sure if you can get them over there.

I would recommend relaxing before bed if you can and any other ways to reduce your tension. I know how debilitating it can be

Just to add, I got sent for an eye test too (that was all clear too) but it’s all worth trying out to rule stuff out. Tight pony tails too. So many things to eliminate

Really good shout on the eye test too. All stuff the doc may suggest anyway.

Are you clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth at night? The type of headache you describe seems characteristic of this. Unconscious clenching or grinding can happen at any age and usually happens when you are going through a stressful time. If you have a partner, can you ask them if they have noticed you doing this?

Definitely try and see a Dr anyway to rule out anything else, but another option could be to see your dentist and get a nightguard made.

I second this. Could definitely be clenching. Especially if you’re waking up with a headache.

Thank you everyone for the advice.
I'm not on any contraception and my partner hasn't noticed me grinding my teeth. I'm going to see how I get on over the next few weeks and hopefully our lockdown is not as strict then I will try sort an appointment with a doctor.

Your partner might not notice if your clenching. If the doctor doesn’t suggest anything, might be worth having a night guard made so you can rule it out.

This was very interesting to read as I have had a very similar thing.
I had a constant headache for around 6/8 weeks but just on one side of my head. But not any other symptoms what so ever. I’m also 37 and generally really healthy.
I visited my GP who sent me straight to A&E just to be safe and there I had full blood tests and a CT scan. My GP wanted to rule out a blood clot (they never suspected a brain tumour fortunately as I didn’t have any other symptoms what so ever) but i was taking the oral contraceptive pill and apparently blood clots can be an issue.
Anyway there was absolutely nothing wrong with me or my head on the CT so the doctor put it down to some sort of migraine. Possibly tension or stress related.
It’s literally just gone away these last few days. It was very weird it just kind of came and then went??!! Sorry for the waffling but what I’m getting at is sometimes headaches just appear for no obvious reasons.
I know it’s a pain for you but I’d def try see a doctor, even maybe get a virtual appointment if you can. I’m also coming off my pill as apparently there really bad for giving you headaches. I really hope you get sorted and I’ll be looking at the thread for other peoples experiences too

Also forgot to add, i stopped using hair bands. I now use crab clasp and this takes the pressure of my hair. I get the 2 for a £1 at Primark or the pound shop. It’s done wonders for my split ends too.

I get a lot of headaches however mine are chronic and I've literally had them since I was a child. I was referred years ago to a neurologist after suffering from an ongoing headache for ages - he said it was mostly migraines stemming from tension.

The fact that its a relatively new problem for you I would say do try and visit the doctor. In all honesty, worrying about the headache is probably making it worse!

For around the last 6 weeks I have had pretty much a permanent headache, it tends to be worse during the night and first thing in the morning. It's a Dull feeling sort of headache on both sides at my temples and across the top of my head.
I don't have any other symptoms like sickness or dizzyness and I haven't been bothered with headaches in the past it doesn't stop me getting on with my day but it is annoying as it's constantly there.
I'm in my early 30's and don't have any health problems, I live abroad in a very small village where I don't speak the language so haven't been able to visit a doctor as I would need to travel to the city but we are in full lockdown and not really sure they would do much for only a headache.
