I went to school with a guy who murdered a heavily pregnant girl and her little dog about 10yrs ago now. It was national news for a long time. It happened across the road from where my grandmother lived. He was convicted for child destruction as the baby was perfectly formed, named and was nearly due to be born till he murdered them. One of the most evil things I've ever heard in my life.

When I was a child I lived a few doors up from a large family of boys. All nice lads, we used to hang out & play games etc. The oldest son turned out to be a murderer when he grew up. He strangled his girlfriend. Shocked was not the word when I found out.

I once lived in a street where a man was in a relationship with a woman. He started an affair with her sister and then the girlfriend ended up murdered. We believe the sister helped murder her own sister.

I knew a boy who plotted revenge on his lovers ex on millennium eve... they drove around to the street to 'get him', to a house opposite where my auntie lives...and petrol bombed what they thought was his house. It was the wrong house and they nearly killed an innocent man sleeping in his bed. Will never forget my aunties neighbour pounding on our door, in the middle of our party to tell her!

Worst of all I used to work closely with a man in a large industrial company. He was very creepy and always made inappropriate comments. Being young I used to laugh it off. He always used to offer all the girls a lift home after nights out drinking. I always refused... Turns out I was right to refuse as a few years later he was arrested for kidnapping and raping a woman in his works van. He fully intended to kill her it transpired. He had a fully fledged murder kit in his van.

I was also once good friends with a lad who I drifted apart from when he went off the rails on alcohol and drugs. Over the years he committed a number of violent crimes, but the worst was where he beat his girlfriend so badly in a tent in the middle of a field, he nearly killed her. Her injuries were like a car crash victims. She was on life support for weeks. That one didn't surprise me as I felt he had the evil in him.

I went to college with a guy who was a bit of a mums boy, bit weird but seemed harmless and friendly. Turns out a few years later he was convicted of downloading child pornography. Not a murderer I know but equally as shocking to me.

I'm pretty sure I could name more events but I'd be here all night!

My design and tech teacher killed his wife because she was having an affair. He beat her to death infront of their two young children with a metal pole. She was also my maths teacher. He’s out now. I remember being followed by reporters on my walk home wanting a quote. A strange time looking back.

Yes
i knew a family where dad didnt give a duck and mum just wanted money from benefits and didn’t give a duck about her kids-they where dirty underfed and unloved
they had 3 kids-one boy then a girl and another boy-I thought then that they where badly behaved I tried to help and tried not to judge
dad got sent down for 7 years for fiddling with a little girl
thankfully ss came in and took the kids into care
mum moved away and found god while turning her back on the kids who by this point where out of control
i lost touch and life moved on
a few years later my daughter came running in to tell me that there was a man walking down our street covered in blood and laughing like ’the devil’
turns out it was the eldest son who had got back in touch with mum and killed her boyfriend in some sort of revenge for her walking away from him
he’d then walked down our street where my daughter saw him
we rang the police and he was arrested within minutes
mum then ran to chat mag to whinge that she’d been a top mother, didn’t know where she’d gone wrong,he was sick and she had no choice but to walk away from him!
i just feel so sorry for him-if he’d had good parents who put him first then he’d be living his best life and a man would still be alive

Years ago I casually dated a guy, my friends all friends with his friends, used to have nights out altogether etc, then he went off the radar, he’d moved away to be with his new girlfriend.
About 6 months later I was in a food shop and saw his face on the news, he’d stabbed her repeatedly in the face and neck to death and casually just travelled back to his home town after!
id have never thought he would have been capable but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not a murderer but a school mate of my younger sibling went to prison for raping and battering a woman in her 80’s after knocking on her door in the early hours. She, having lived there all her life, opened the door in complete confidence it was a neighbour in need of her help. She was never able to go back to her home of 50+ years as she was so traumatised and died a year or so later. The rapist was an 18 year old high on drugs.

I remember being so, so shocked reading it in the local news. And then the rapist was named, I nearly fell over. My sibling is a few years younger than me and they’d been friends in their early teens. This boy had been to our house, had always seemed a lovely lad. He wasn’t. I think he may be out now.

Not as such but have one in my family 🙈

Not that long ago we were eating Sunday lunch as a family and my mum was talking about her parents and when they used to argue my Nan used to say to my Grandad 'you'll end up topping me like your Uncle'. I asked what on earth she was talking about, apparently my Grandad's Uncle murdered his wife and children then killed himself. My mum hadn't thought to mention this in 30 odd years of my life 😂

One of my teachers was murdered when I was st primary school by his ex lover. It really freaked me out knowing there was a murderer so close to home

I worked at a Housing Association and one of the caretakers murdered a tenant. They caretakers used our office for their breaks so I was alone in a flat with him occasionally.

My Uncle was murdered, dismembered and dumped on the moor a long time ago now.

My first teaching job was in a quite rough part of north London. A year or so after I left I read in the local news for that area that a group of boys who I had all taught had murdered another lad as part of a gang killing... awful. One young life taken and 5 others ruined forever... breaks my heart 💔

Not a murderer but one of my best friends, was really close to a guy (her gay best friend for a long while), whom I always found really creepy and I found him so hard to talk to, I always thought it was weird but turned out after they drifted for a few months that he was in prison for being a paedophile!!! Been on loads of websites for years chatting, swapping pics and had filmed several videos of his nephews and friends kids when babysitting.
I wasn't surprised to hear the news as I knew something was really off with him!!

A lad I grew up with on the same street was once one of Britain’s most wanted. He was arrested about 2/3 years ago in Greece. He was a big time drug dealer.
Too be honest I was shocked he wasn’t a serial killer as he was vile with animals as a kid. He once blew a load Of frogs up with rockets on the back field. He was always in trouble
His name was Simon Dutton if you wanna google him

I met a couple at Anti Natal classes, got on with them really well and kept in touch for a few months. Fast forward 1 year i was watching Jeremy Kyle where i recognised the guest, it was a lady from anti natal - she was on the show as her partner (who we briefly knew) was a convicted paedophile. Still shocks me now.
