Have you ever been on TV?

Was just thinking about a programme I watched maybe about 2008 called single mums mansion where a group of single mums went to live commune style in a huge house somewhere. You would have applied to go on the show.

Has anyone ever been on a show not a game show but like a back in time or something? I wanted to apply to child of our time but my due date was 2 weeks too late then dd was born 3 weeks early 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have often wondered where those mums are now in life. Would be lovely to know.

I was on Question Time 😁 In the audience, I got to join in the discussion and David Dimbleby pointed me out as the ‘lady in the green blouse’. It was about 6 years ago.

I have sat at the front of a TV talent show once.

I know someone's family member who was on Jeremy Kyle for a DNA test 😮

I was in a music video, for a few seconds for an obscure artist in the 00s. It did, albeit briefly appear on TV.

A relative also appeared on Trisha in the same era, a show entitled love rats which included cheating partners engaging in lie detecting. He had a long term girlfriend, with another long term girlfriend quite willing to be the bit on the side. He got off Scott free, he told alot of these bullshit tales, many featuring Denise Van Outen having cocaine snorted off her tits, even if it was in no way relevant to the story and was the type of man who believed his own lies. Hardly surprising TBH.

Twice during lockdown because we had film crews within our ITU/theatres. Was a pain in the arse and a massive distraction to turn around and have a CNN cameraman zooming in on me 😂

A million trillion years ago, someone that I went to school with, appeared on ATV Today - a local news programme. She was being interviewed because she expressed an interest in becoming a newsreader. The interviewer, jokingly asked if she had nice legs (this was not long after Angela Rippon appeared on the Morecambe and Wise show, showing off her pins!)

When I was about 7 I had to walk across the road - something to do with the green cross code.

If I had to do it again I'd wear stilettos and have a slight swagger. 😎. And I might demand a talking part. 😜

Twice 😎 I’ll do signed photos for anyone who wants 🤣

first time I was an early teen and went to an Atomic Kitten meet and greet. They filmed me and my friends outside talking about it and singing one of their songs 🤦🏻‍♀️

second time a friend of mine was filming for a kids tv program, and I was invited along to be part of the party with my child. I was in a few bits, including one very close up view of my ass which pretty much blocked the whole screen.

Got down to the final selection stage for Coach Trip S2 with my sister, but didn't make it through.
The BBC came to my primary school in approx 1991 to film my class doing PE so I was on that.
More recently I can often be seen lurking in the background at the horse racing, or at least I used to when crowds were allowed.

I was on ITV News as a politics student in 2006 comparing Gordon Brown and David Cameron on a stint about what 'young' voters respond to. Everyone loved Cameron and I was on TV saying I don't care how polished he looks I couldn't trust a Tory 😇

I was also on Holiday 90 when I was really little as they followed my family on holiday in Spain.

Also a brief glimpse in the audience of Strictly 💃

Been on BGT twice - first time around 10 years ago (age 17) and the second the year after (age 18). Got to the judges stages twice, no further unfortunately but neither of my full auditions were televised.

First time I featured on TV in a tiny clip dancing in one of the holding rooms which wasn’t even taken at the judges stages auditions. It was filmed in the very first audition you do in front of crew members.

Second time a short part of my audition (literally 2 dance moves maybe) featured during the televised show but had been edited badly - in one of the dance moves (commercial/street dance type) I grabbed my crotch & did like a thrust movement & they edited Alesha pulling a shocked face...in a different outfit to the one she had on during my actual audition 😂 so they’d made it look like she was pulling that face at me when she definitely wasn’t.

Having auditioned the second time I decided I never ever ever wanted to go on anything reality related even if it was a talent show because there was an incident which showed me what the show really cared about - making good TV. A VERY nervous guy in the holding area had a panic attack & the first thing they did was shove a camera in his face before calling over the medic. Really opened my eyes as a young naive 18 year old.

Also, in my second audition the girls didn’t like me & there was this “joke” where both SC & DW we’re “meowing” insinuating the girls only said no as they were being bitchy/catty. I happened to catch an episode of the ITV2 show that Stephen Mulhern does & there was a burlesque type dancer on there & low & behold, after her audition the EXACT same things were said - including the “meows”. It was like watching my audition feedback...I mean I knew some of it was scripted but I genuinely didn’t know how much until this. Definitely opened my eyes even more as a young 18 year old 😂
