Been on BGT twice - first time around 10 years ago (age 17) and the second the year after (age 18). Got to the judges stages twice, no further unfortunately but neither of my full auditions were televised.
First time I featured on TV in a tiny clip dancing in one of the holding rooms which wasn’t even taken at the judges stages auditions. It was filmed in the very first audition you do in front of crew members.
Second time a short part of my audition (literally 2 dance moves maybe) featured during the televised show but had been edited badly - in one of the dance moves (commercial/street dance type) I grabbed my crotch & did like a thrust movement & they edited Alesha pulling a shocked face...in a different outfit to the one she had on during my actual audition

so they’d made it look like she was pulling that face at me when she definitely wasn’t.
Having auditioned the second time I decided I never ever ever wanted to go on anything reality related even if it was a talent show because there was an incident which showed me what the show really cared about - making good TV. A VERY nervous guy in the holding area had a panic attack & the first thing they did was shove a camera in his face before calling over the medic. Really opened my eyes as a young naive 18 year old.
Also, in my second audition the girls didn’t like me & there was this “joke” where both SC & DW we’re “meowing” insinuating the girls only said no as they were being bitchy/catty. I happened to catch an episode of the ITV2 show that Stephen Mulhern does & there was a burlesque type dancer on there & low & behold, after her audition the EXACT same things were said - including the “meows”. It was like watching my audition feedback...I mean I knew some of it was scripted but I genuinely didn’t know how much until this. Definitely opened my eyes even more as a young 18 year old
