Has anyone had a long menstrual cycle and conceived within 1 year?

I know the ttc and baby advice threads are quite active so I thought I could ask this here.

My menstrual cycles vary between 41 and 50 days and always have done. Only recently I've been googling thinking about ttc and realised maybe this isn't so normal. I am waiting to hear back from the Doctor so posting this isn't a substitute for medical advice but I wonder if they will even take me seriously before I start ttc.

Hi it took me 18 months but I have endo (well had, since I’ve had my baby it’s improved massively)

I was about to start Clomid for IVF and got pregnant naturally 😊 good luck x

My cycle is about 41 days but I’ve conceived twice straight away, currently 9 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old boy. Can’t say I tried with either of them and I have PCOS

My cycle was always 45 days. My first baby I conceived after 9 months of trying, my 2nd was 1 year of really trying. Then my 3rd came along as a complete surprise with no trying at all! I actually say I don’t know how it happened 🤣. Strangely my cycle is now 28 days for the first time ever!
Have had no medical help with conceiving I should add x

My periods were all over the place before I had my first baby. And like you, my cycles were also very long sometimes. I became pregnant very easily but I was only 21 when my first dc was born. After I had kids my cycles became normal although they still vary from 27-31 days.

Obviously if you are ttc then it’s important to get a handle on when you are ovulating because that’s the only time in your cycle when you can catch.

My cycle was 50 days, but I always checked I was ovulating each time (usually day 36). The cycle I conceived however, I didn’t ovulate until day 50! Was the first ‘month’ of trying too. 13 week old baby currently fast asleep next to me 😊

My cycles were between 40-60 days and it took me around a year and a half. I had started testing (blood tests, scans) and nothing was found. So I guess that’s just what my body does

My cycles are 30-50+ days. It took us about 12/13 months of trying, we had just started the process with the doctors when I found out I was pregnant. Good luck :)

My cycle tends to be quite long and very unpredictable and it took me about 16 months.

My cycle is on average 41 days. I've successfully conceived twice in my life, the only times I've tried. In December 2017 within a couple of weeks of trying. I'd just came off the pill in the November, after 15 years on it, and must have conceived very quickly. In Nov/Dec 2019 I had not been back on any contraception and conceived the first days I was ovulating as we were timing both babies to be born in September (I'm a teacher)
