An insider told us: “Piers knows full well that he is talking to a tough crowd in America.
“The majority of people across the States love Meghan and Harry. The Oprah interview sent shockwaves round America and, if anything, only made them even more popular and interesting to people there.
“But America hasn’t followed all the twists and turns since the interview - and Piers is keen to make sure people know what happened next.
“Some of what Meghan and Harry said has already unravelled - like the suggestion they were married in secret before their wedding. And the fact Meghan freely travelled the world despite claiming her passport was taken away.

I can see Piers interview backfiring on him, he is a privileged white bloke with a grudge against her for rejecting him (rather than a bloke who knew her and experienced Markling) in the eyes of some.

The Royal Family website doesn't get updated very often in general. That Order of Succession has been there for a while and has been used by sugars to attack the family saying Beatrice and Eugenie are still using "of York" even though they're married and it shows they're obsessed with being royal as well, even though that makes no sense. Also to prove how backward HMTQ is for "making" Zara be Mrs Michael Tindall even though it's probably a personal choice ala Beatrice and Eugenie.
However I sincerely doubt HMTQ will ask parliament to strip them of their titles or place in the succession. She doesn't want to have to deal with calls to do the same to Andrew or Beatrice and Eugenie or anyone else. She's very traditional in some ways.

Great informative post but I still believe their titles should be stripped, after all they are damdif they do and damned if they don't and leaving them with their titles gives them the last word. The people of this Country deserve more and we should be listened to for all the support we have given them

I don’t actually want them to lose their Sussex titles though I know half of Sussex is fairly pissed off so apologies to them. I just want the HRH formally gone and the line of succession changed to remove Harry and his kids. If they lose the Sussex titles they really will have a ‘woe is us’ drum to bang. Plus to most Americans, who don’t know much of the intricacies of aristocratic titles, all they know is a Prince and Princess is better than a duke and duchess so I don’t want them to revert to Princess and Princess Harry. Being a duchess didn’t do much long term for Fergie did it? They’d rapidly fade into utter insignificance. If they wanted their kids could still be Lord and Lady and they’d have to be content with that (or just pickle themselves in bitterness and fury, whatever works for them).

First, the full interview with Piers is not going to be shown on the regular Fox News channel. It's going to be on their paid streaming service and I don't think that has a lot of subscribers-- it sure doesn't have a lot of content. A portion of the interview is going to be shown on Tucker's prime time show on the regular cable channel. I don't know what the viewership numbers for that are.
What I can say is that overall, the division between pro-M&H and anti-M&H seems to ultimately fall along a divide between conservative and liberal lines here in the US, SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE. Liberals tend to favor M&H while conservatives tend to not like them. Fox News is a conservative channel, watched mostly by conservatives. In other words, they'll be preaching to the choir.
The other thing is that while Fox News does watch entertainment and celebrity happenings, the organization and their viewers are not as enthralled by celebrity culture as other news services and viewers are. I think that Tucker is going to be far more interested in this from the viewpoint of cancel culture rather than changing viewers' minds about who M&H are, and the majority of viewers who see the edited interview tonight may only get the "cancel culture" cut. Unless they put some pertinent clips out on You Tube or something, it may not have the impact that Piers hopes.
I'm. Glad they don't have access to the Travolta dress!! Meghan would sell that in a heartbeat.. Or ruin it by wearing it.
I'm in Sussex and I don't want them apparently representing this area which they visited once. They can duck right off.
I do understand where you are coming from but I doubt that most people in this Country would understand that, and hate the thought of her calling herself Princess Harry it really does turn my stomach. I thing the York and Sussex titles should be scrapped Beatrice and Eugenie are both married women so little difference for them and I totally agree that the line of procession should exclude Harry and family.They will fall into obscurity at some stage and look forward to that. I wonder re: stripping the titles if BP wouldn't also be a bit concerned that, given Brexit and Covid, asking parliament to spend time debating the bits that they may need to debate might not seem a little indulgent, genre "yes, yes, the country's falling apart, but we think it more important you decide on this family spat right now".
I think that one is owned by some historic org and goes on display once in a while. Megz can buy a ticket to look at it just like everyone else.
Well, I've tried everything I can, but have failed to find a way of being able to watch the Piers interview. Parts of it will be shown again at 8pm but that's on Fox News, and I can't get that either.
