A lot of chat about Charles. Some like him and some don't, but we're all entitled to our opinion, and we can't not chat about him as the King and head of the RF, but also as Hazno's father.

We had the King's Christmas speech and the Christmas Day walk to church at Sandringham, and some discussion about the lack of tiaras at the Coronation.

ETA: The article didn't say, but I think this took place in Aspen. It's always a popular destination after Christmas. Of course the Harkles couldn't go because they couldn't afford the exorbitant hotel rates there.

Ooooh a shiny new thread and title!

I couldn't post before the last thread closed and now the text has disappeared off my clipboard.

I did feel a bit bad reading a description of Smegsy's childhood. Growing up in an environment like that, can see why Smegs is the way she is. And it's easy to say that she should have fixed herself as an adult. These "genetic" traumas/nurture vs natures don't work that way. And then to find herself in circumstances (that she has sought out, no doubt) that only exacerbate her dysfunction. It's like we say for Sparry - had he married a stable woman, he'd have been far less trouble.

I always feel like while they're both bad, he's far worse than her and they're both using each other's traumas and delusions for their own purposes.

Yes, we'll party. Figured we'd be going all out on 31st/1st so we could have a quiet day in. Many Tattlers are still snoring off Christmas on the couch, haven't been able to clean it in weeks

When will these idiots get it into their thick skulls that the Kings Speech will invariably feature the Wales family in some capacity? William and George are the next two Monarchs. And 'Kate Middleton' is the Princess of Wales and future Queen, who lives in a country where titles are used. Meghan is none of these. Show some respect and stop trying to downgrade Catherine to Smeg's level.

Why are people (including Hazza himself) still so obsessed with the Harkles being included in everything? They left. And then they talked crap about the RF and didn't just burn their bridges. They nuked them.

There's nothing to stop KC3 talking to Haz privately so long as he keeps the conversation trivial, doesn't make any promises and it's witnessed/listened-to by a third party. William is equally as entitled to want nothing to do with Haz ever again, in public or in private. The media needs to stop scapegoating and projecting stuff onto William. He's not the baddie here, and he's not KC3's keeper either.

They don't have this problem in Sweden. Carl-Philip and Sofia don't have a strop and run to the media every time the King is photographed with or mentions his two heirs, Victoria and Estelle. King C-G also officially downgraded the status of his non-direct line grandchildren, but C-P and also Princess Madeleine don't hide them away as some sort of punishment.

I can only laugh at these articles. It was Charles who only gave 30m to Hazno - with witnesses - after the dimwit took the plane for the press stunt after he was told about the cancer. It was Charles who didn't make the time to see Hazno when he visited London. And actually, the dutch version of the Endgame mentioned both Catherine and Charles as the racist ones, I guess the highly informed journalist at the DB forgot this little detail.

People who portray KC as a feeble old man wanting peace with his young son, misread the man completely. They forget that he has been ruthless controlling narratives and using the press - with and against Diana, to rebuild Camilla's public image, to make sure that his dimwit, idiot, drug addict, younger son had a nice public image. KC is all about his ego, his image. And that's exactly what Hazno attacked - including the image of his beloved wife.

He is a coward and that is why he is leaving a lot of trash for William to take care of - like his dubious Californian grandchildren in the LoS. But he is a narcissist making sure that he has a meaningful reign, albeit short. So no, I don't give credit to these defamatory stories to make William seem like the monster between a dying, fragile father and his beloved son.
