I hope I've done this right... need to post and then go back and congratulate title winner plus last thread recap!!

congrats to @planetmirth for excellent title.

To sum up last thread:
we're not keen on the Snarkles.
we like Princess Anne, Zara, Sophie and Catherine.
we think Brooklyn Beckham is talentless.
we think most of the guests at the Beckham wedding showed far too much boobage.
we laughed that the Snarkles weren't invited, and that the Cambridges were washing their hair.
we think Invictus Games should get a new patron pdq.
we had the usual digressions into cats, dogs and being nice to each other.

Couldn't reply to the vaccine comments from the earlier thread so here goes: I did Pfizer and got double jabbed but did not get the booster shots because after getting both the first & second dose, my periods got delayed. I have been trying to conceive for an year or more and not getting my periods made me really sad. I even did a round of blood tests to test my thyroid, hormonal and other levels, they came out as normal. I don't have PCOS but the vaccine does have side effects on menstruation. Even after getting my period, they were very painful and heavy like it was in my teen years. This is widely known issue after several women spoke out about this.

I personally don't want to take the booster shots at all and I am sorry for derailing the thread. Articles below:

Is anyone else half not expecting her not to turn up for the IG? Part of me is thinking she won’t - she gets enough publicity out of “will she won’t she”. She really doesn't need to bother?

edited cos my brain works faster than my fingers missed a not!

In re: Sméagol and the Mayhew Animal Charity Patronage:
Rich, awful, charlatan/cretin/what Freda says (come back Freda!!!) sponsors a kennel for 15 pounds a month. Bah

I volunteer at our local animal shelter, and in terms of volunteers I am a rookie, small fry. I try to go a couple of times a week for a couple of hours, and every time I am there, no matter what day, there are some of the same volunteers doing the hard, nitty, gritty work like dishes and laundry and cleaning litter boxes. They don't post accolades on facebook, or have podcasts, or nance about in high heels with giant tummies, they just do the work. Our shelter is wonderful, it has a full time veterinarian and animal behaviorist/trainer, plus admin and kennel workers who are caring and work very hard to ensure the best care possible. But the network of wonderful volunteers is a crucial part of the Shelter's success. My current heart throb doggie has been there for over 6 weeks, he is a wonderful doggie (usually the animals find homes in a couple of weeks), and is losing hope, so he is the last dog I visit, for the most amount of time. He was moved from a kennel to big dog room with big glass windows. The door handle is damaged (last 2 dogs in the room were a Great Pyrenees and a Great Dane, hence the damage), so a sliding bolt lock has been installed on the outside to prevent escapes. So today I was sitting on the floor with Braxton, and someone must have walked by, not noticed me on the floor and saw the door was unsecured and slid the bolt into lock position. I was locked in for about an hour. It was funny and poignant and sad, every time someone came into the back room, announced by excited barking (we were in a far back corner, furthest from the door), Braxton and I would get up, and go stand by the windows hoping someone would come by and let us out. It was a tiny taste of despair a shelter animal must feel. So screw you Sméagol and your grandiose posturing on the behalf of animals, shove that 15 pounds where the sun don't shine and gollum off!!

I know someone who thought the menopause was happening but the vaccine kind of got everything going again. It did settle down again eventually but took months. Her GP was aware of the issue and told her about the research. Good luck with everything 💜

In keeping with both topics - the Harkles are utterly bloody.

I am in Western Australia so there has not been as much interest as in Sydney but the media coverage of Princess Anne’s visit has all been positive. They have just been reporting her visit not influenced by a baying mob.It has been very refreshing

Happy New Thread! Thanks @Wackie Jeaver and congratters @planetmirth

A nice round up of Princess Anne in NSW

Sweet moment

To be and on topic of the Duo. Only 5 days until we can see Kween again! Black jeans and the Invictus top? Oversized blazer? Ballet flats or stilettos? Boyfriend jeans? A normal amount of jewellery or the blood diamond, Cartier, overpriced pinhead-sized pendant, and a ring on most fingers? [Personal note, my sister-in-law gave me a gold ring for my last birthday which I find hard to wear as it's so similar to Pinocchio's collection of slender overpriced rings]
Will Pinocchio make a speech and first reference Hawwy as "my husband"? I await with baited breath
